I'm a player collector and don't look to flip cards for money; so if you want to get rid of it, I'll take it off your hands :mrgreen:

Call me ignorant, but I did not know Lee's stuff was that hot. Granted he could be the best pitcher in baseball at the moment, but I wonder what that card went for when he labored for part of the 07 season before being sent to triple A. Guess I should have stocked up...living in Ohio you can find Indians stuff everywhere.

That's what I was thinking.
You can put it in size 80 Bold font clearly describing the damage - and from what I've seen of late - there's probably a 50% chance you get someone that amazingly spends that much without bothering to ever read the description.

It's why, unlike others on here, I almost understood when someone took out a subtitle to point something like that out.

the scan makes it out to be worst then it is, because the scan is like 200X, if you look at it close it sometimes hard to notice, ive decided to just take a lost on it, because theres a card thats on, that I want more anyway, I have it set up for 4 days lefts an 20 something hours, by that time Lee will be pitching game 5 again, starting bid 100.

Is it common practice to use a sleeve inside of one screws/one touches? I would think thatd screw up the way the card lays in the recessed area, possibly causing the card to "lift" when you put the 2 halves of the holder together, possibly causing the unattentive owner to drive a screw through the card? However it happened, that sucks man. At least you have a card that's still sellable IMO. I hope you find a buyer that takes it as is. I'm sure there's plenty of people out there that would be interested in a discounted copy

When I read "slight damage" I think of a dinged corner or some chipping, not "I drilled a screw through the card". :?

Yeah, i sold a Longo x auto rc and it had a slight bend in the corner, nothing like this card. Some @ss won in for a 150 BIN and ******* they wanted $100 back and keep the card. I had to have them send it back for a full refund. You say slight damage and should have better pics on the bay, you might get a chargeback and a neg.

I thought that was what I read as well. I've never thought of putting a sleeved card into a one-touch/screw holder. They are pretty well sized to hold the card without one I thought. Plus it would look a lot worse with all the bunching of the plastic sleeve.

Well a magnetic/screwdown holder is meant to hold a standard sized card, and nothing else. VERY little room for the card to move around in. When a card sits in a penny sleeve it doesn't go exactly to the edge of the sleeve does it? Therefore when you put a card in a penny sleeve in a screwdown holder the bottom of the penny sleeve sits at the bottom of the holder, thus the card is slightly above the top of the holder and interferes with the screw.

Not sure why it needed a penny sleeve. Also not sure why it didn't go in a one touch or a toploader. Lesson learned I guess. :|

I figured that's probably what happened. I just never thought of using a sleeve with a card you're putting in a screw/mag holder.

:::shrugs:::

They are meant for a toploader. Any other holder is meant to fit the card and the card itself.

the damage is clearly shown, and you can barely see it when looking at the card, you have to look real close in person, if I really wanted to I could hide the damage, but im not out to skrew anyone.
