Wade's stuff has been hot lately, but I'd maybe still hold. Selling wouldn't be that bad of an idea, though. Depends on what RC stuff you have.

LeBron, I'd most definitely hold them for now.

I'd say after Lebron wins the title.

If LBJ win the title, price would be downed after that.

All Economy happens works as "fait accompli"

http://knowledgerush.com/kr/encyclopedia/Fait_accompli/

If someone wants to sell LBJ card, he would have to sell before he gets title. (If he get title)
- for example, Allen Iverson was crazy in 2001 Final. SO Iverson cards had to be sold during conference final.

IM humble OP, I'm not sure, LBJ cards can go over and over.

Because LBJ cards are already expensive.

and UD released too much so those ruins value of even precious cards.

I think If LBJ wins the title at least 5-6, LBJ cards would over only a little gap as result.

In short, if you are LBJ fan, keep cards for fun.

But if you want to buy LBJ cards as investment, it would be better to buy BOA stock at NYSE.

And for Wade..It would be the same as Allen Iverson Cards.

After 2001 Final, Iverson was still great.

But look at his cards...except only a few limited cards(non sticker autograph and a few 90's Parallel), most of them were downed.

It has nothing to do with this pistons era.

It was when he was at Nuggets.

Another example, Look at Kobe Chrome RC.

That Card is nice and Kobe has improved more and more.

I saw that Kobe Chrome was sold around 500$ in my country and BV was 600$ at that time.

But it was at peak and price hasn't went to there again.
(Even he became all time # 2(?) SG !!)

Athelete Ability has not always something to do with Market Value.

In Short, If you are wade fan, keep cards for fun.

If you want to make money, sell those when he goes to PO semi Final or Conference Final
(This year would be nearly impossible though).

LeBron is actually pretty cheap right now, I'm in buying mode for him. Take his SPx RC JSY AU. They went as high as $875 in the last few months, and one just sold in the $600s.

I have not been interested in any LBJ card but I don't think that would be cheap.

Rather it would go to appropriate position.

It's not any despising or jealousy.

Think about it.

LBJ is one of the best player in the nba history...really right !!! we can't deny.

But can LBJ be greater than Magic Johnson and Michael Jordan? I don't think so.

Of course, we don't know but look at this career.

Magic - In his Rookie Season, got Final MVP.(In the last game of Final, he scored over 40 PTs against DR. J)

and even he substituted Jabbar as center position in the last game !!
(someone may be like "huh?" but really true)

Michael Jordan - In his Sophomore, he matched against Crazy Celtics in the 1st round.

Of course, he lost but he scored over 50 pts against Crazy Bulls.

At that time, there were Larry Bird, Kevin Mchale, Danny Ainge, Robert Parish, Dennis Johnson and
Bill Walton(wow Bill Walton was a bench player..kidding? lol)

another sensational player
Olajuwon - In his Sophomore season, he beat Magic + Jabbar's Lakers in Conference Final.

Unfortunatley He lost but it would be inevitable. Because Opponent was that Celtics which broken MJ's Bulls.

SHAQ - In his 3rd season, he went to final with Anfernee Hardaway.

But Olajuwon+Drexler's Rockets swept really young and unexperienced Magic.

The reason why I told above, LBJ did over above? I don't think so.

and 1980's and 1990's were more hard time. There were many blue workers and much hustle than now a days.

Yah..I don't deny LBJ is one of the best Player in NBA History.

But he is not the greatest. At least he is not now.

Comparison with MJ, MJ beat Crazy Badboys Pistons at the same career of LBJ, now.

But how about LBJ...

Of course, we don't know. But he is not now at least.

Do you remember, MJ beat Drexler's Blazers with 40 pts gap in Game # 1 of 1991 Final?

Would LBJ be able to do the same thing as that after 2 years?

The reason why I compare LBJ with MJ, MJ's cards are also the same as LBJ.

At least MJ accomplished too much at the same time period comparison.

But LBJ didn't !! If LBJ cards would have to be well deserved, LBJ would have to win at least 5 champs.

I remember LBJ was crazy in Eastern Conference Final.

But Celtics could manage to stop LBJ. MJ was not like that. MJ was over Crazy Badboy's Pistons.

Look, this time is not 1980's and 1990's. There is only a few crazy C(DH12 and Ming but not like 1990's) and Blue Workers.

Futhermore, Environment is really familiar to LBJ.

Everybody likes LBJ (except wizards fans) .

Even in this familiar Environment, if LBJ will not be able to get any accomplishment, cards would be like Citi Group's Stock.

Even if LBJ win the 5 or 6 champs, value of his cards would not easy to rise.

The reason why LBJ cards were downed not because economy is bad, but because LBJ cards were really high value than his ability.

Furthermore, UD ridiclous commercial help downing value of LBJ's card.

Most part of LBJ card would be much expectation. Not real ability.

SO he has to show much, much and much accomplishment. If LBJ card would be able to rise....

Look at this result,Please.

This is the real world..That's all.
(I heard about that auction. LBJ fan's told me it was around 9,000$ around 1/2 - 1 years ago.)

P.S. : For above example about 4 players, I have not been any fan of them.
(But I have just really like olajuwon though..)

And sorry for my broken and poor English. =)

I know what you are saying nbacard, i think a lot of that low price on LBJ Exquisite has to do with the poor economy. Lots of people in USA are losing their job and their house. No one has the big money to spend on expensive sports cards or hobby. Guys who used to spend $2000 a month on cards are now spending $200 or less. It might take many years from now to improve economy in USA to what is was back in early 2000's when everyone had money, when that time comes though, i see many cards go way back up in value. This might not be for 4-5 years though. LBJ Exquisite RC for $5000 is crazy. Look at DWade Exquisite too. DWade used to sell for $7000-$8000 after NBA finals, now that card sells for less than half that and dwade has been playing crazy. It has a LOT to do with the poor economy in USA.

You can sell Lebron tomorrow, the next day, a year from now, ten years from now. I don't think there is any great movement up in the future, but I don't see them ever going down. So, just pay attention to the market if it's up or down and sell when you need to.

NBA card-
Nowhere did I say LeBron is the best player in NBA history. Quite honestly, it makes no difference whether he is considered the greatest or not. But just for the sake of argument, keep in mind that all those guys who had those achievements early in their careers also went to college, and had way more experience than Lebron, not to mention Jordan got to play with other HOFers, while Lebron has barely even had another All-Star on his team. Plus, Lebron isn't even far behind MJ's point scoring pace. 12,688 through almost 6 years for Lebron while Jordan had a little over 14,000 over his first 6. LeBron is going to have 13,000 points BEFORE HE TURNS 25 YEARS OLD.
And yes, as pointed out before, a lot of it is the American economy. LeBron is already the face of the NBA, and he has a minimum of probably 10 more years in the league.
Once the economy gets back on track, SPx is definitely more than a $600 card.

Lebron will be a very solid long term investment. He will have his peaks and valleys. There is alot of potential profit is monitoring these and buying/selling at the right time. Wade will have an excellent sale value in about 2 weeks. I will be moving my 3 Wades then.

Once the masses start having certain expectations for a player it becomes really hard for the players cards to spike. Obviously if they put up 60-70 points, get a few triple doubles in a row, win a dunk contest, or a championship you will see a spike.
