Is razor backed by Upper Deck?

I think this topic was broached months ago, but I wanted to ask again or see if there is any other information out there on it.

I personally don't care one way or another, but my local shop owner who i hvae known since I was 10 (I'm 28) swears that razor is backed by Upper Deck. He even says that one of his Upper deck sources told him so.

I am NOT trying to start a fight here, so please don't turn this thread into one. I am just trying to gather some information if possible.

In some ways it would make sense, Upper Deck can't compete in the prospecting world with the current state of licensure etc. This could be there new "in". At the same time, it seems a bit risky.

That is crazy talk. When was the last time Upper Deck had a product with all on card autos and no redemptions

I'm going to go with NO. Brian said they aren't and honestly, I think this information would have leaked if this was the case.

UD will be a major player in the prospecting world when the purchase Topps.

The bottom line is that this is nothing more than a rumor. Some of us know the origins of the rumor. None of us can provide substancial evidence to show either side of the coin, and quite frankly it doesn't matter if it is true or not.

I want to clarify about the reasons why this thread is locked.

The lock has more to do with the nature of the information than the subject. Any talk on this subject would be nothing more than pure gossip.
