An auction of a supposed buyback of a 1993 SP Jeter rookie with a suspicious autograph is about to end.
As of this post, with just over 2 hours left, it's at $2,024.00.
The autograph doesn't look right, and the bidders' IDs are all hidden.
Here's the auction:

That's a crapload of money to spend if it's fake.

(I apologize if this has already been posted, but the search is giving me an error message.)

The seller has 100% feedback, the card is listed in the OPG as such, and the card comes with matching COA's. Not sure why you are so quick to think it is fake because the auction is private?
I realize the COA could have been swapped off of another Jeter Buyback, but I don't see any proof of that in the auction to state it.

And the Auto doesn't look all that suspicious to me, but I am far from an expert.

I questioned this auto too since it did look funny to me. The thing about it is that I know the person who owns the same card but numbered 5/5. His auto looks similar and his COA # is in series with the one on the auction. He has checked his COA # with Upper Deck and it comes back legit. Now the question is did someone take the time to exchange the stickers on such a rare, cornerstone card? I would hope someone wasn't that stupid.

I have no idea bout the card in question. But the seller is selling this Griffey, which is a fake

This won't be what people want to hear, but all "buyback" auto cards should be redemptions and encapsulated by PSA, BGS or SGC... problem solved. The cards would already have been signed and encapsulated, so shipping them should not take long.

That seller is on my watch list for suspected fake cards. I've been saving some scans from suspected sellers, and after you see these cards sold by him in the past I don't think anyone will think the Jeter's real.

Thank you for confirming my suspicions.
Not only is the signature fishy, but I just don't trust any auction in which the bidders' IDs are kept private.
If the Jeter is indeed fake, the buyer just threw away $2,000.

The autograph on that card doesn't come close to looking like any of Jeter's certified autographs.

It looks like some kid scribbled on the card.
