Adam Dunn gets serious consideration but why are the Mariners still playing Chone Figgins....awful. .185 BA .230 OBP, 9-16 on SB attempts, .246 SLG....246!! Think about that. Even Ichiro and Pete Rose had career slug % of .400. Not bad for 9.5 Million dollars.

Adam Dunn hasn't been anything to write home about either ...
Yes he has been.....he his someone you write home about to complain about :lol: I love the fact he said it was not about the
money when he signed, but it is to the Whitesox that got the royal shaft. I said all along he was to stay in the NL if he goes to the
AL (which he did) he was not going to hit the side of a barn. He looks like he is swatting a flies with a tennis racquet

Now Kotsay's batting 5th... ::facepalm::

DoU had a good post the other week about how Kotsay just isn't physically strong enough to hit a ball where it will do any good. He makes all kind of contact, but it's weak, easily-fielded contact.

He was decent when he was in Seattle.. Saw him throw a few players out at first from sitting on his butt..

He had decent range, didn't think he would become complacent so soon..
I thought he was awful in seattle between him and jose lopez they were the worst 2B/SS combination in the mlb. I think chone figgins is worse right now then betancourt

He's solid defensively no?

No. He's arguably the worst SS in the NL and he blew a routine groundball in the first inning tonight right away. I was there..
Strongly disagree, Ryan Theriot is absolutely horrible and I really hope the Cardinals get rid of him.

What is it about Seattle? They sign big free agents and get squat in return. Beltre, Sexson, Figgins...

You obviously haven't seen Betancourt play. You can disagree if you want, but you can't strongly disagree with his statement. If the ball isn't hit within two steps of him he will not even get a glove on it.

When I saw the title of this post, Chone Figgins was the first that came to mind. I remember him being a huge pest when he played for the Angels, getting on base in clutch moments, starting rallies, etc., but now he is just awful.

At least he can get the ones near him. Theriot has like 16 errors all hit right at him.

I don't know what to make of Dunn. I'm pretty shocked he's been so bad. It's not like his career was a fluke in the NL. In the last few years he was the one sure thing you could bank on for 40 HRs.
