Pretty much covers everything, and has sample (even b&w) scans of card(s) from each set?

i have the 2008 "beckett" annual baseball price guide, and its missing a LOT of stuff :/
for example, the 1961 Nu-Scoops are not listed

any ideas?

No interest in online price guides. As for complete listings, there sometimes arent any. :/

YES! I cannot recommend this book enough. I have the 2007 version. Just about every set is covered (19th century through today.)

+1, I have the (2007 + 1 ;) ) 2008 version and I can spend hours at a time pouring over this.....you can find older versions of this for very cheap. I got the 2008 earlier this summer for maybe $8 delivered.

i just bought the 2010 version for 22 dlvd on amazon. It says its used but cant be that used its only been out for a month or so. The prices are high in this book for the older stuff id say but the checklist cant be touched it is by far the most comprehensive listing in the hobby in my opinion. They have pictures for almost every set and its one hell of a good time just looking throught the book.

as far as i can tell the dvd is just a version of the prie guide for your computer.

I believe the DVD contains cards from 2001-current.

pretty happy I came across this thread now as I think I'll be picking up one of these as well. I was wondering if someone wouldn't mind posting a couple pictures of how things are laid out inside. I'm curious to see how their picture examples are.... of some of the old sets and especially in the late 90s to the present. Does it show a lot of the different inserts and sets that you don't get to see in Beckett? Thanks.

i dont have the time to take pics at the moment, but i will tell you that the thing is INCREDIBLE!

I bought the 2008 Beckett Annual Guide, and its useless. i threw the damn thing up in the
attic, with no intentions of ever looking at it again.

As for the SCD Standard Annual Catalog, i picked up the 2008 version a few months back for less than $8 DELIVERED!
the thing literally weighs FIVE pounds, if not more. it does not have a dvd, but who cares for the price?

alright...you all convinced me. I just got the 2010 version. Sure I could have had an older version for a lot less, but I kind of wanted the CD :D

I received a copy for Christmas. I highly recommend it, but please check your ego once you open the book. You will be amazed at:

1) How much stuff you didn't know, and

2) How much stuff you didn't know you didn't know!

PS I haven't checked out the CD yet.
