I don't think they made those helmet cards without the auto. Ask to see back of the card and check the year listed too.

Even though i and many others really like the sweet spot helmet autos, you will notice that they go cheaper than on card autos, of the same players, from others sets like Ultimate, SPA etc.

That's true. One of my favorite Hurricanes PC cards is a Sweet Spot helmet auto, and I got it cheap.
