They designed Elite with a white box for players to sign on...so no, don't expect it to look like Contenders.

Yes, they have a contrast box for the AUs.

Those things just look like IP AUs.

Well, in actuality, they are IP AUs :^)

Yeah, not well thought out at all on the Contenders autos.

It's the year 2009. We have pieces of helmets, glasses, guitar picks, and shark teeth in sports cards.

Why, for crying out loud, can't Panini figure out that when you sign an autograph on the card, it would help if people were able to SEE the autograph on a card?

Who is hiring the designers for sportscards anyways? A bunch of monkeys or cavemen?

Sheesh, that is truly shameful. The companies have had twenty years of history to figure out this on-card autograph thing, and they still can't get it right- they are worse than our government. And this is freaking SPORTSCARDS.

Ugh. ::facepalm:: ::facepalm:: ::facepalm::

There were shark teeth and even snake skin in cards in 1997. NASCAR cards are silly.

Contenders Football and EEE baseball are obviously the same set.

There are mock-ups and now even copies of the signed cards available for view.

The most troubling to me would be the bubbling of the signatures.

If anyone follows Panini on Twitter you know that is not what you can expect.

The last year, Donruss has really taken a step back and that started before they were sold.

I cant tell you how many boxes Ive sold this year that were missing autos or gu (FB) and what makes it so weird is that I rarely ever had that problem.

I wonder if the designers are smoking something because a good amount of their designs are insane. Anyone see rookies and stars? Love how the autos look hidden because they are on clear sticker which is placed on a black portion of the card.

Now this crap. Yes, new name but same people working at the place. The same who have done auto sessions in the past.

You know, I just read on here that the Post Office is losing money. Well guess what? They will be in the clear with all the cards collectors will be sending back to Panini due to bubbled or nearly invisible autos.

we have the scans actually

there was much improvment from these to elite

we were all worried about this issue, and the scans I have seen kinda make me feel better about it.

wow that looks awful. contenders was already popular WITH sticker autos, why change something that was working for them.

and yes i agree these look like some sort of inserts that got signed IP.
