::facepalm:: my worst investment ever.

You have been thanked!

He was a great investment. Its just that you should have sold awhile ago. Same with those cards in your sig if those are an investment too. ;)

I think Hanson still has an upside and room to grow.

I agree, however i would not have had the will power to hold all those when he got the call.

Hanson does have that, however the smart thing to do would have been to sell them at some point during the hype up swing.

They all have room to grow, you just have to look at probability.

While Hanson may push his card values up beyond what they are now, do not hold past initial next best thing, greatest thing since sliced bread hype.

Now as far as Snider goes, he is still a wonderful hitter. Some guys get ready quicker than others, and some guys take some time.

It would also help if Snider played in a bigger market and also Toronto is nuts about hockey...not so much baseball.

I had a lot of stuff listed, just no bites.....I sold a ref bgs 9.5 for $90 and three base 9.5s for 35 each, raw gold for 270, which were great sales, the rest of the stuff is sitting here still....along with another 20 9.5 bases and 6 9.5 xfractors.

Toronto is one of the biggest markets in North America :? and while yes, T.O. likes their Hockey first, there is Jays fans all across the country (of Canada). When the Jays won the World Series in 92 and 93, streets in downtown Calgary (2500 miles away) were closed for the celebrations. That would be like the Yankees winning and closing streets in Portland, Oregon.

and yet, they don't really spend money on baseball cards

its a 0 market as far as baseball cards are concerned

but of corse I have always looked at hobby related markets as -2 -1 0 1 2 with the yankees and the red sox being a 2 while san deigo is a -2

There was plenty of time to cash in on Travis Snider. He's going to have to get called up and mash for his cards to reach the peak they hit a few months ago. Once you've made your debut it's hard for your cards to get love again even if you are doing well in the minors.

If you're going to sink that much money on an "investment" you should probably keep closer tabs on that player. Snider should be back (playing in Vegas) sometime in July. All it takes is an extended hot streak to see his cards skyrocket. 2010 will be his year.

I heard where Riccardi said he will be out until July with a bad back. Hope he can get healed up, the kid can flat hit.

Yeah, because they weren't buying those 2002 Donruss Elite Extra Edition Alexis Rios cards like freaking hotcakes a few years ago.
