ugh...was going to post the same thing until I saw this thread. I lost 3 cards that I had snipes set for higher than where they ended. One of the cards I wanted badly as I've been waiting months for it to pop up again. I'm pretty sure my snipe would have had it. Ugh, now the wait begins again.

This is exactly why I pay for the mirror service. I had 1 bid fail and that was enough to convince me that $6 was nothing if it meant my bids would go off. I haven't had any fail since switching to the mirror.

All of my snipes worked, but I use the mirror service. Paying the extra $6 is definitely worth it.
