Yup...he went into this transaction planning to get a cut at the end.

Never partially refund the slime of eBay.

Gave him two choices... keep it and no refund or mail it back to me in order to get the refund.

Sighing - gotta love drama!

Sounds like buyers remorse and he was hoping for a little money back to help calm that feeling. ;)

Re: Issue a refund SITUATION in Ebay??? UPDATE

Guess what? Last night he filed a claim against me... I escalated this claim, and then a minute later Ebay sent me an email:

Hi excel_b,

eBay opened a case because of an issue with an item purchased from you. We reviewed the case and have decided to issue the buyer a full refund of $24.83. The refund includes the purchase price plus original shipping. The hold on this PayPal transaction has been removed.

This case is now closed. You are not required to reimburse the buyer or eBay, and this case will not be counted in your seller performance evaluation.

Screw this...

wait a min, the buyer files a claim as what, item not descibed, and didnt send the card back to you and he won the case?? how is that possible? ebay asks that the buyer return the card back to the seller with a shipping information in order for them to win that case, no?

this is odd, bobby. do you think it's because you escalated the claim, as in, letting ebay decide?

this case doesn't make sense to me at all...

and damn, this fool is getting blocked. im serious, ebay needs to upgrade block list from 5000 to 50K because my list is ever growing

Go back and look at your account. It sounds like a situation I had not that long ago where paypal just ate the cost. I sold several Dirk RC's, buyer said they were off center eventhough I had a scan. I offered for them to send them back for a refund. In the meantime they esclated the claim and paypal ruled no one was at fault. At first I thought I was debted the money so I called but after speaking to a rep they explained and told me to look at my account again. Sure enough, I didn't lose any money.

Escalation all but automatically gives the buyer money back. Have had it happen to me and a couple unresponsive sellers. Return policies are now irrelevant as is the seller's side of the story.
