After 10 years of not seeing this card appear once, I see that it sold recently for a measly 12 DLVD. I don't know how I missed it but I did. Ugh, I don't know why I even bothered to look at completed listings. I could have continued on in ignorance. Now it's just so frustrating, especially as I would have bid way higher.

If anyone somehow knows the seller or buyer and can put me in touch with them that would be incredible. Or if you know he whereabouts of either of the 2 Bob Watson Yankee uni topps originals autos it would be much appreciated. Aside from Mantle, Bob Watson is the only non-prospect yankee with a certified auto that I am missing pre-2014.

I feel ya...checked Worthpoint once for the elusive Byung-Hyun Kim 2002 Upper Deck Autograph I've been searching for 13 years now. I had accepted it didn't exist years ago, and then I saw a completed listing. It haunts me daily now.

They really spread his autos throughout products ;)

Ryan

Yeah, lol. By the way, did you get my PM?

Anyway, Bob Watson is actually one of the rarest Yankee autos out there with only 39 total copies. For yankee uni autos across all products these are the rarest with less than 50 total copies (excluding cut autos):

Al Leiter - Has 1 yankee uni auto from 06 Upper Deck Signature Sensations set. Unnumbered but my guess for print run would be 25-50 based on how few I've seen over the years

Bert Campaneris - Another topps originals. This is his only Yankee uni auto and its /28

Curtis Granderson - Appeared in 5 topps autograph sets in 2012, but all with low print runs for a total of 17 combined copies

JT Snow - has a total of 4 recollections autos for a total of 39 copies

Jay Buner - This is the second rarest Yankee uni auto as it's his only one and its /15

John Candelaria - He has 2 recollection autos for a total of 37 copies

Jon Lieber - similar to the Leiter above, there can't be many copies of this card around.

Lee Smith - This is the rarest yankee uni auto with only 11 copies of this card made

Rick Rhoden - A new release from Leaf last year. Only 26 of this card

I hope I don't have to wait another decade or more to find another one of these lol. I'm sure this will haunt me daily as well.

Nice rundown. Hopefully you can find one eventually! It's fun trying to track those kinda cards down though. For Brewers Zack Greinke only has one Brewer autograph and it's /25. A seller has one listed for $200 and ignores reasonable offers. For now I've settled on a "teamless" unlicensed sig. And then there's Mark Loretta, one of my favs growing up. He has a Buyback from Bowman Originals and it's a 1/1. His only Brewer auto and being from that set, if I saw one I probably wouldn't trust it enough to buy it anyway lol

For a rare card like that, you should set up an Ebay search. I have many saved so instead of searching for them I just get an email from eBay when one is listed. You have to fine tune it to make sure you don't miss out on one with a poor title, but use the - to weed out any results that for sure won't be what you want.
