Sandberg's 13 games with the Phillies keeps him off the list, but most people probably still think of him as a "one team" player.

Sandberg's a good example some players may not play for just one team but it's not exactly anything they could have prevented either.

I forgot all about that. It's so few games it almost shouldn't count.

The 90s group will be VERY small but about the same size as recent decades:

Jeter
Ichiro
Pujols (?)
Rivera
Chipper Jones

Anybody I miss?

Ichiro and Pujols didn't play in the 90's.

I think there are 2 reasons for only a few playing with one team the whole career.
1. Free agency, I need a 30million a year contract (A.Pujols lol)
2. Not wanting to stop playing. Many plays dont want to quiet when they should. I can think of Tom Glavine and Greg Maddux as an example. When they left the braves they both had ok to subpar years. Should have just hung it up.
Just my 2 cents.

Maddux started his career with Cubs. So once he chose to sign with the Braves he was off this list.

Two of my favorite players, Lou Whitaker and Alan Trammell, are members of the one team crowd but not in the HOF.

2 examples why there will be far more in the future...

Tulowitzki and Braun

If the player is great at a young age, they will get signed for 10-15+ years, and great players usually make the HOF

Assuming that they have hall of fame careers.
