The Dodgers and Diamondbacks officially kick off the MLB season in less than three hours!
Live from Australia on the MLB Network.
Kershaw vs. Miley.

Game starts at 4am Eastern Time Saturday morning.

Then the rest of the teams begin their seasons a week later.

The Dodgers and DBacks have a recent history of bad blood, so it will be interesting to see how they act Down Under.

I am hoping to stay awake long enough to catch an hour or so of the game.

As a huge fan of Kershaw's (but owning him in ZERO fantasy leagues), I hope he has a monster opening day. I also hope Kemp stays healthy all season, Goldschmidt continues to beast, Parra has an awesome defensive play and Hanley gives me an entire healthy season, reminiscent of his first 5 or so years in the league.

Working all nite while sick so hopefully it'll help me stay awake!

As a guy who picked the D-Backs to win the NL before the injuries started, it'll be interesting to see if Kershaw rebounds from a poor Spring...

And as a guy who roots for the A's (played in Japan two years ago) and D-backs, I say again:

"Stupid idea Bud!"

One hour away. Woot!
Luckily for me, the game starts at 10pm my time, so I can be asleep before 1am.

Unfortunately it's a 1:00 a.m. start time for me, and I've had a heck of a week. Not sure I'll be making it up, but the DVR is set and I'll see every pitch in the morning.

Maybe they can delay until at least 6AM so at least some Easterners can see it. Wait, these are WC teams....

"Stupid Bud!"

Living 14 hours away, I had a better chance of getting a hit off Kershaw than Eric Chavez did!

But why take him out mid-inning? Let alone at all? God, pitch counts sometimes don't make any sense.

Good to see they're getting Zieggy with it! He's a big card collector if anyone here doesn't know that already.

Maybe now the Snakes can mount a rally...

Anybody else doubt that the International crowd won't really appreciate a 3-1 game?

I'd guess 90% of the fans aren't gonna get too excited by seeing a great Pitcher work his craft. They'd want hard hit balls and tons of defense and HRs...

off to watch the game in the archives - blacked out on MLB Network since I'm in dbacks territory.

I was all excited to watch it live thinking MLB Network was national exclusive with the game (and no blackouts) but the game apparently was shown on Sportsnet LA and FS-Arizona.

At least I get to use the biggest benefit of MLB.TV over MLB EI - archives!

No game here also(Los Angeles). I searched and MLB Network was the only one airing it.

It was blacked out in Hawaii too.
But I still watched it live with Vin Scully on Sportsnet LA.

Coincidentally, the MLB Network's lovely Alana Rizzo, now does the player interviews for Sportsnet LA.
I'll miss her sassy attitude on MLB Network.
