Granted, there's plenty of names you can change Shelton with who had a blazing hot start of the year as a "no name" only to fizzle out.

In 2006 I attended a show and bought a Shelton rookie auto numbered very low for like $2 on opening day (before first game).

A week later I sold it for over $100 which basically paid for the hotel I stayed at.

Over the first 10 games, he hit 7 hr and 14 rbi.

This time last year the big "no name" would have been Yangervis Solarte had he had a chrome card of any kind and I think the year prior would have been Collabello.

Carl "Tuffy" Rhodes!

And people forget he did that off Dwight Gooden. Rhodes also had a GREAT career in Japan.

I think it'll be cool to see if Jake Lamb stays hot...

Ah I remember that very fondly, made a killing off the dude. Picked up 3 of those 2004 Topps Chrome Uncirculated X-Fractors/20 for $10 each. One was Chris Nelson and the other was Shelton, can't remember who the 3rd was. Regardless, paid $10 for the Shelton and solid it for about $300 during his hot streak. Sold the Nelson for around that as well, by far my best investment. $30 in, made about $750 on them.

Hahaha what an investment. I sometimes hang on to things hoping I'll have the right player at the right time. I guess I held Profar too long already
