Asrsos reached agreement with C Ivan Rodriguez on a 1-year deal worth 1.5 Million

Just got this text message. Seems like a good move considering the Astros don't have much at catcher.

Does anyone collect this guy? I have been looking for his bat card from my set, 2003 Topps 205 Relics, for a very long time. Anyone have one?

My question is why the hell did it take so long?! I have been asking a lot of people I talk to why they didn't go after him.We have jack at our catching positions and I am not sure Castro will be ready as soon as everyone thinks he will.At least now the #8 spot won't be so darn bad in the lineup.

His batting numbers have deflated along with his physique, but I still think he's great. He'll definitely make it more tempting to brave the skeeters in HOU this year. Too bad they missed out on Griffey.

Love it, Love it, Love it (he ain't what he used to be but he's still 10x better than what we had)!!! His contract is supposedly for 1.5 mil with another 1.5 mil in incentive's...I say if he shows up this year & produces what our starting catcher produced last year (which isn't much & shouldn't be the least bit hard for I-Rod) then we hand over those incentives! I'm just happy for the upgrade! :D

I wish he would never had left the Rangers as a free agent.
The fans loved him.
I hope he can play a few more years and become the first catcher with 3,000 hits. (He's at 2,605.)

I love this deal for the Astros.

Maybe, just maybe, IRod can take advantage of their park and rekindle some of his power.
