I've finally done it, started a player collection.

I'll pick up game used , autos, rc's on ebay mostly...then base and inserts I will try to pick up at shows in cheap boxes so I don't get killed with shipping charges

About 6 -7 years ago I had a very big player collection and his cards got real hot and I needed the money so I sold them. Haven't really had a focus on my collection since then and have found myself getting bored with the hobby as of late. I really like Lester and have thought about collecting him for awhile now. So I know join the ranks of you crazy player collectors. It will be fun, I am sure.

I am glad he is in a lot of stuff now. Gives me a bunch of stuff I can add fairly quick. The blacks do look nice.

Why did you think that? He was actually a close second as I wasn't sure I wanted to collect a pitcher but I really do like Lester. I think if he can stay healthy he will be a very special pitcher.

Great kid to collect..

I remember when he got drafted.. His dad came into the shop I go to and was looking for his cards..

So the next time I dropped in the store, I left him about 5 of his RC...

It sure would have been. I also had the Lester Sterling Red Refractor jersey auto 1/1 before. Wish I still had it..oh well. Maybe one day again it will pop up when I have the money...
