Because of the NBA's obviously flawed system, Allen Iverson (part-time starter for Philadelphia) was voted to the Eastern Conference All-Star team. He may not play however, due to injury.

What a disgrace! The NBA All-Star game is usually fun, not serious, but come on!

They had almost had the "missing" Tracy McGrady starting in the West, but he was passed in voting in the last week by both Nash and CP3. Still, it's about time they changed the voting process...

Well being that this could be his last hurray, I dont have a problem with it as what he has done in his career and for the NBA he has earned atleast 1 free pass as an All-Star. Now based on how much time he has missed and how much he is playing this year, does he deserve too play infront of someone who has worked hard this year? Maybe not, but I still dont have a problem with it as I am sure this will be the last time we will see him among the All-Stars and just want to see him go out on a good note.

Well, Kobe Bryant was voted an All Star starter in his second season when he didn't even start for his own team. It's the fans game, but one would have to ask, "who in the hell would vote for AI?"

I think it has a lot to do with foreign voters. They love the NBA in Europe and Asia, but because of the time difference it is hard for them to really keep up. I think aging stars like McGrady and Iverson that have lost the spotlight here are still holding onto it in other countries because they don't know better.

Another issue could be how a lot of teams pass out all star voting ballots at games. Not everyone that attends a game follows the NBA, and if they fill out a ballot because it's there they will probably just fall back on names they have heard a lot.

And finally.... Fans are idiots.

It amazes me that he is still this popular with the fans. If the fans voted him in, I am fine with, I just do not understand why?

East PGs aren't very good this year for the most part and Iverson is the only 'star' name of the bunch.

JOE jOHNSON IS HAVING ANOTHER SOLID YEAR. I COULD EVEN UNDERSTAND IF THE TWO STARTERS WERE WADE AND VINCE CARTER. AT LEAST CARTER IS PUTTING UP OK NUMBERS.

Sorry for the all caps

PF - Bosh
C - Howard

Reserves:
Gerald Wallace
Antawn Jamison
Paul Pierce
Vince Carter
Joe Johnson
Josh Smith...
Horford/B. Lopez/D. Lee (You can't go wrong with any of the three, but you know I'm going to have to pick Horford. ;) )

I probably need another PG, but I can't think of any that that deserve to make the team.

PF - Duncan
C - Kaman :o

Reserves:
Chris Paul
Brandon Roy
Kevin Durant
Dirk Nowitzki
Zach Randolph
Deron Williams
Al Jefferson/Amar'e Stoudemire (If I had to choose, I'd go with Jefferson.)
