Hey Guys,

Thanks for all the help in the past with our customers' cards. I have another card that I would like to get some info on if possible. We are not trying to spam this auction, but rather get some market input on this card. It's a Jackie Robinson 2005 Sweet Spot Patch SP12. It's our customer's card and we have received numerous offers on the card and he is debating ending the auction early, however he is a little reluctant to pull the trigger on the card.

Anybody have any information on past copies of the card? Any help is appreciated. Mahalo (Thank You), Mike @ Ideal

That is an amazing patch card..

You are getting several offers to end the auction, which tells me that there are several customers interested in it and I would let it run unless I got an insane amount in an offer to end the auction.

Good luck,

Thanks for the opinions. I am not able to give the amount of the highest offers, but they are considerably high and my customer is debating taking one of the offers, but he wanted more market information on the card before making a decision.

Anyone know what previous Robinson copies have sold for? Mahalo, Mike @ Ideal

I was one of them who made an offer to you.

My opinion is to take the top offer right now, if you let the auction run, it will not go over the offer, plus thinking about the Ebay fees. If its a consignment, take the commission. (I was not the one who made the top offer just so to clear.)

Not sure what sort of offers you have been getting, but.......

looking at complete auctions, Dale Murphy got $360, Tony Perez got $151.50, and Lou Brock got $113.50. Unless the offers are well north of the Murphy, I'd let it ride.

One of the members on this board was collecting them - I think it was mrwhitesox30? Anyway, he might have an idea on what others have gone for. Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

I follow a good bit of the HOF auctions and in my opinion it would take 650 for me to want to move it...

I say if the offer was made by a Bigfan of the Dodgers then you should definitely end early! ;)

I know a quad patch of Jackie #d 1/1 out of Sterling just sold for a little under $500, so if there are offers over that, you're(and your customer) probably doing pretty good. Then again I'm no expert on this set, but I know it's really popular and looks great.

If the offer is high and the customer would be happy with it then take it. You also have to factor in that a lot of high end cards are not going for what they were even going for 6 months ago. I have seen quite a few high dollar and rare cards not getting what people thought they were going to get lately.

I have scans of 9 of the 12, but I don't have any records of ones that have sold since 2006. In 2005 and 2006 most were selling for $175-250, but they're gone up significantly since then. I don't have any completed sales lately, probably due to the fact that most auctions are ended early since it's such a sought after card. $500 is low, and I would happily buy any of them for that much. I think an accurate price is in the $800 range. Some of the cards from this set have gone done in price over the last 6 months due to set collectors slowly getting cards for their set. At open auction, if a few set collectors go after it, four figures is not out of the question. It's a volatile card, and if the final price was $700 or $1200 I wouldn't be surprised either way.

The fact that it's not serial numbered might lower the value a bit, though. I don't collect the set now, but I didn't make an offer because if I ever try to go after the set again I would want one that has the serial number.

I collected those too and I didn't know of any without serial #'s, I asked them how come no serial # but they ended early, I have a jumbo Jackie solid blue patch, but wanted that one. Mr. Whitsox, why no serial ??? Also, I have an Orland Cepeda jumbo with the top of the Braves logo(eyebrows, forehead and mohawk) remember the whole face was pulled and shown in beckett, I got the rest, its#'d 40/40
