First, congrats to Arrieta, and Mike Fiers before him. They both pitched fantastic games against my beloved Dodgers.

If McGwire isn't jobless by tomorrow morning then I will have lost little faith I have in the Dodgers front office. This team needs a shakeup in the worst way, and I would 100% embrace Mattingly being let go as well. No hitters happen to the best and worst of teams, but for a team carrying the payroll and expectations it does, this is inexcusable.

Are u serious? They have two pitchers. Outside of Greinke and Kershaw the pitching is bad at best but more like awful. They're still in first place cuz the Giants have had a very tough schedule the last three weeks only playing playoff teams. The Dodgers could have already ran away with this division if they had a bullpen and could get some hits going

3rd starter Brett Anderson has a 3.36 era.
4th starter Mike Bolsinger has a 2.83 era
Middle reliever J.P. Howell is 5-1 with a 1.43 era.
Closer Kenley Jansen has 27 saves, a 2.39 era and an incredible 65 Ks in 37 innings.

I'm not trolling nor am I a cardinals fan. I watch baseball a lot. I've seen several games where the gas cans in the pen have cost games. You're incredibly wrong if u don't think they should have the division wrapped up. The giants have given them so many chances to run away with it but they haven't. If Pence, Panik and Crawford can come back healthy I think they will take the division and ol Donny might be looking for work

Dodgers' pitchers, including starters and relievers, have given up the second fewest runs in the entire NL. Runs allowed is the very definition of a great pitching staff.

Sure the bullpen has cost the Dodgers games, and made big news when Kershaw was the victim several times. But you can say that about every team in baseball. But overall, the relievers have done well.

As for having the division wrapped up, no team in baseball besides the Royals have the division wrapped up, including the mighty Cardinals.
