Also, does that leave Alex Gordon as the only upper level position player left?

The Rockies have been dangling Corey Dickerson, Charlie Blackmon, and Carlos Gonzalez. The Nats and the Mets seem very interested in Cargo, but both would have to trade away key pieces to land him (possibly Syndergaard or Giolito) and I doubt either would be willing to give up them.

I am not sad at all that St. Louis didn't sign Heyward.

I've wanted Alex Gordon over him all along.

I would have prefered if Heyward went somewhere other than the NL Central though.

Heyward = Soriano? A lot of money for a slightly above average ball player. Never really saw much in Jason.
