I have been looking for him for a very long time. I google him 2-3 times a week. All I ever see is Houston fans blogging about how terrible their GM is. Today I searched, and I finally found him!

Ex-major leaguer stymies Explorers

At first I was a little panicky. I thought he was actually lost in the hills or something. But no, he was pitching against a team called the Explorers!

Back in 2001 I met Jason Jennings. He was a pitcher for the Sky Sox, the Rockies AAA team in Colorado Springs. I wasn't too impressed by that, and when I met him... neither was he! He was very humble and happy to have made it all the way to AAA... not at all what I was expecting. Anyway, our brief discussion on cards is the reason I dusted off my old Rickey collection and started collecting again. He made it to the Rockies and won ROY in 2002, that was awesome! He had a very nice career with the Rockies, and then everything changed. He sucked in Houston, and I feel bad for the Astros, but it really wasn't Jason's fault, or the GM who traded for him. He needed a surgery, but nobody knew it yet. Another year of sucking brought another surgery. I was hoping to see him sign with somebody before Spring Training, or just show up somewhere to try out or whatever... I couldn't find him anywhere. Glad to see he's still alive and pitching, and not lost in the hills...

Dear Missing Player Detective Agency(MPDA), could you please locate Wonderful Terrific Monds III for me. Last I heard he was in the Rockies org. And also Lee Tunnel. Thanks.

If anything, my months of futile searching has shown me that I am not good at finding people.

Lee Tunnel would be a tough one! I just found a good one...

Work has started on the £635m, four-mile long Lee Tunnel project, which will prevent sewage discharges into the River Lee...

It doesn't seem like Jason Jennings would be a popular name, but there are a few of them out there. One guy does fishing competitions, he showed up a bunch during the recent Yamaha Contender Miami Billfish Tournament. There is a HS wrestler who makes it into Google news a lot as well. There is a semi-famous motivational speaker and author who goes by the name. And a slew of other people that just pop up from time to time.

Assistant District Attorney Karen Edelman-Reyes called Middletown Detective Jason Jennings as a witness.

Then I have to scratch my head and wonder if he's taken up detective work during his retirement. The fishing one really had me going, that seems like a great "profession" for a retired athlete.

As for Wonderful Terrific Monds, he would be easy if he ever popped up in the news. I guess he's living a simple life, married with at least 1 kid, and has a cleaning business. Found it all here...

A couple members of the Monds family posted in the comments. Good stuff Wax Heaven. Isn't that a member here?

I know nobody cares, but nobody cares, so I have to share with somebody huh?

Well, it was an awesome season for JJ. It had its ups and downs, which is sad because these aren't even minor leaguers he's facing, but... he just got the W in the decisive game of the championship. It was really fun to watch on ustream.

You would really really have to love a player to watch a game of this quality, and I do mean both the quality of ball being played and the quality of the camera bringing me the game. It's like a good high school game. But I had a really great time watching Grand Prairie win the *sort of* World Series tonight, and watching my favorite pitcher pitch them to victory.

It's the first time he's been in the playoffs professionally. Great job JJ ;)

My buddy Chi Chi was a pitcher in the Expos orginazation and I remember one winter he was pitching in Venezuela, where he is from and they had really bad mudslides. He was missing for two weeks. The Expos couldnt get ahold of him. He made it out ok but it was scary.

Detective, can you help me find Brad Fullmer?

No, he's gone. He made 10 million and won a WS ring and vanished into obscurity. I imagine he spends a lot of time at the gym.

A fun fact about the game last night. 828 people turned up to watch it, pretty impressive for the Air Hogs. Game 4 for example, had less than 500 people there. Which is still more than the Marlins get some games. It's still pretty sad though, in St. Paul 1456 people went to game 2. I have noticed at some parks they will get a couple thousand people out for a regular season game, but in Grand Prairie they can't even get 1000 people out for the deciding game of the championship series. ::facepalm:: That's really sad.

That must have been absolute hell. I like the stadium (for some reason) but the parking sucks. I was at a mid-day game last year and there were 500, maybe, and the streets were lined with cars.

How about this one ? I needed B.J Wallace for one of the earlier UD Minor League sets and 93 Topps. I had purchased numerous mailing lists and written to old teammates for his location Recently he popped up on web searches after being arrested. When I googled his address, my old house in Alabama was less then 16 miles from his house. When watching the news archive about the arrest, I learned that he had been helping with numerous baseball camps thru the years around Mobile and Pensacola. With jail pending, he got tougher.

LOXLEY, Alabama -- A former U.S. Olympic baseball star and his wife were charged with cooking methamphetamine inside a home they shared with their three children, just a few hundred yards away from Loxley Elementary School, police said.

::facepalm:: ::facepalm:: ::facepalm::

I guess if you're going to screw up, you should just embrace it and screw up as much as possible. :?:

That's a really sad story. I feel bad for the home they shared, and no words can express how disturbed I feel about the children.
