I don't know, I was pretty upset when the trade was announced, I thought that the New York hype-machine was running overdrive for Montero, and I was extremely high on Pineda (and higher on Campos). It's just really hard being a Mariners fan anymore.
Losing Campos I think was bigger than losing Pineda. Sure, Pineda was at least MLB ready, but the M's have the arms in the system (and weren't winning with or without Pineda), they had NOTHING in the way of hitters. I still have some faith in Montero, especially if he goes DH and can focus on hitting ONLY.
