This email is to inform you that the Topps Company is currently beyond the 15
week processing time allocated for the following redemption card:

PIN #: Product: Card/Player Name
BSBLLKAAM1 Bowman Sterling Jesus Montero Autographed Prospect Relic

So I know that getting a replacement is risky, but now that Montero is out for the season should I roll the dice while the value is still high? Yeah or neah?

Nay, just because the value is high on ebay means nothing to topps. Youll probably get a josh reddick in its place, or something like that.

Which hand did he break? Should have plenty of time to sign now.

I think so, I haven't looked at a beckett in over a year so i have no idea what would be equal value. They'd probably just give you a wilmer flores redemption if you asked for a replacement. So topps.

They sent me an Andrew Miller 2007 Topps highlight auto. Worth less than $1. You can bet I sent Topps a polite email saying I am not satisfied. The card is all chipped up to boot, wow!
Yoinked an ebay pic for visual purposes.

I asked what the process for receiving a replacement was via email days ago and this showed up in my mail today.

I really wouldn't panic. He is only out a month.

Mighty Bomb, he didn't break his hand, he broke a finger.

Wow, so now they are claiming that redemptions have a 15 week processing time? I had a 2008 Bowman Chrome Matt LaPorta/Prince Fielder dual auto that I entered into their system on 9/25/2008. I later received a email stating that the card should be shipped no later than 1/08/2009. They have the worst redemption program of all manufacturers. Last year and even earlier this year this would have sold very well. It will still sell but not for nearly as much now that the LaPorta bubble has kinda burst. I hope that should you choose to request a replacement you get something decent in return(Beckham, Bumgarner, etc.), good luck!

That's the most ridiculous replacement I've ever seen. I'd be furious. It's a card that sells for 20 bucks getting replaced by one that doesn't sell for $1? I'd give them an earful about that one if I were you.

If your redemption features an above average player or prospect, NEVER, E-E-E-E-VER, agree to receive the replacement. It never works out. Man Law!

I agree, I would never ask for a replacement from Topps for ANYTHING> excpet maybe a Scout Auto. This is what scares me about them having an exclusive Baseball license, does anyone think it will get better?

They may throw some packs your way. But the Montero on April 20th (which was 15 weeks before you made this post) the Montero and Miller booked for $30. The Montero has went up to $50, but they are most likely going to say it is from when you enter the redemption, not from when it is replaced.

The point is, it's complete BS that the Miller books for $30, and they should know that.
