He has already homered again tonigh.

Thats makes 4 consecutive games with a HR, and 5 total in those 4 games.

Jesus is a BEAST!!!

I'm glad as a Yankee Fan I have his auto, it may be a tristar auto, but not bad for retail.

I also have an auto on a GCL ball with about 20 other autos, too bad I didn't know who he was at the time, he was 16, and I went to visit someone on the team that I knew.

Repeat after me -- # 1 on tomorrow's Hot Sheet.

No doubt about it.

i wonder where he'll end up playing.

maybe his appearance on the hot sheet tomorrow will force some people to list some of his BGS9 refs lol

I doubt the Yankees will trade him, I foresee another career long Yankee.

Can you imagine the Yankees Lineup with Montero Teixeira, and Rodriguez? That would be SWEET!

I still think he'll stay at catcher, don't see why he couldn't, there are catchers taller then him in the majors now.

He's unlikely to stay at catcher because he's not playing the position very well right now. Check his opponents box scores and you'll see lots of stolen bases and very few Caught Stealing. This isn't the only measure of a catcher, but it's an important one, and he's doing a very poor job in this aspect.

Mike Piazza.

Mike Piazza's first three seasons in the majors he threw out 29, 35, 25, 25% of runners.

Montero has thrown out 25 in 2008, and 17% this season. His stats from 2007 aren't available.

So Montero in the minors isn't even close to Mike Piazza in the majors.

Not great news for Montero at catcher.

At catcher he's a future MLB All-Star, and his cards see Joe Mauer prices I think. At DH I'm not sure he makes a name for himself for a long time. He'll be very good at a very early age, but I'm not sure he'll be good enough to eclipse more established A.L. hitters in terms of popularity. Let's hope he gets in some extra work on his defense and sticks behind the plate. Otherwise I think future card value may be half of what it could be.
