I wonder how much this will evolve.

http://www.fannation.com/truth_and_rumo ... n&hpt=Sbin

Jay-Z is planning to take on a "more active role" in the New Jersey Nets ownership beginning when new majority owner Mikhail Prokhorov gains control of the team. It remains to be seen if Jay-Z's more active role will be devoted entirely to bringing his friend Lebron James aboard during free agency. Certainly, though, Jay-Z's greater involvement could play a role in how Lebron handles his potential search for a new team.

Personally I believe without a doubt he's going to be going to New Jersey or Chicago.

Jay-Z sucks as much as the Nets do. A match made in heaven. And I really doubt that Lebron will sign with them. If he did that would guarantee that he would never win a championship.

What if the Nets win the lottery and take Wall? Lebron+Wall+Lopez is a decent start....

I still don't understand why he would want to go to Chicago, have fun playing in MJ's shadow the entire time.

I thought I remember reading something about him wanting to change his number next season from 23 because he didn't want to wear the same number as MJ anymore. I'll have to see if I can find something about that.

He did say that earlier this year. Around the All-Star break if I remember correctly.

Well that little scenario isn't going to happen now. Lebron's only chance at winning a championship is if he goes to Miami and Wade helps him. All the other teams mentioned won't help him, he'll just be in the same spot he was in Cleveland. Surrounded by decent but not great talent and certainly not enough, even in Chicago, to help him to a championship.

LeBron is not a winner. He's a Pippen with better offense. He'll need someone like Wade to win a ring. No matter where he goes, if he's the center piece they/him will not win a ring.

If these athletes really cared about winning and not the money wouldn't LeBron, Wade, and Bosh get together take less money to go to a team together and win ring after ring?

In that case, his best move would be to sign with the Lakers. And in doing so guaranteeing himself at least 3 championships. But of course he will go where the $$$ is as most superstars do.

Agreed. But he will never go somewhere and be in Kobe's shadow. I hate Kobe but God Damn he's a good basketball player.
It is funny though how they always say it's not about the money yet it always is.

Actually I think that if he went to the Lakers he would overshadow Kobe. Kobe is still great but he is getting on in years and Lebron is nearing his pinnacle. Now that would be a 70+ win team. You would think with all the money rolling in from his endorsements and other projects he wouldn't have to be playing for the money. But just like on ebay, the highest bidder will win his services.

I wouldn't rule this out yet. I could easily see this happening in Miami.

If Lebron leaves he isn't going to the Nets/Knicks,even with Lebron they aren't title contenders! Chicago/Miami are contenders with Lebron...I believe it's 50/50 with him staying here, really depends on few things happening before july 1st.

Here in Cleveland, they keep talking about a sign and trade with Lebron.I would be open to it,if Lebron cameout and said i'm not staying. We would never get equal value for him if you consider Advertising/Commericals/Money for the city.

Of the Clippers/Bulls/Heat/Knicks/Nets,which could offer the best package if a sign and trade were to be done.

I was reading that if the Heat traded Beasley and someone else before the draft they would have enough cap space to offer max deals to 3 guys. If they move Beasley and another player or two in a sign and trade for Lebron then they could potentially get Bosh, Lebron, and Wade.

I think the Mavs could also make a pretty appealing sign and trade offer and could be a decent destination for Lebron. They already have some pieces in place and a great owner that will spend money.

We have a great owner,we need to get a good head coach and get of Mo Williams[no defense,Delonte West[has a friendly contract and DONT resign Shaq.

What if Lebron does stay here, what are the chances of the Cavs getting rid of some of this dead weight on here.

I know this is a longshot, but when the bb season is over,Phil Jackson won't be back with the Lakers and i believe he would be a great coach for this team and i believe he would love to coach Lebron. And the owner would pay the ransom.

I've hear more about Lebron playing for Calipari than Jackson. I think Cleveland really just needs a solid #2. In the game where Mo Williams actually scored in the first half against the Celtics that team looked unstoppable. It's just too bad that Mo has disappeared in the playoffs two years in a row.
