Got Broglio TTM: Ernest Gilbert Broglio (born August 27, 1935) is a former right-handed pitcher in American Major League Baseball from 1959 to 1966. Broglio signed with the independent Oakland Oaks of the Pacific Coast League after he attended West Contra Costa Junior College. He was acquired by the New York Giants in 1956. After two seasons in the Giants’ minor league system—when he won 17 games each year—Broglio was traded to the St. Louis Cardinals in October 1958.
Although he led the National League in wins with 21 for the 1960 Cardinals and won 18 for the 1963 Redbirds, Broglio is best remembered as the “other player” in the ultimately lopsided trade that sent future Baseball Hall of Fame outfielder Lou Brock from the Chicago Cubs to the Cardinals on June 15, 1964.
When the deal was made, it was seen as a heist for the Cubs. Broglio had won 18 games the year before and was considered a top-flight starting pitcher. Brock—one of the fastest men in the game with surprising power as a hitter—had been a disappointment in Chicago. But Brock would bat .348 for the rest of the ’64 season, leading the Cardinals to a world championship. He then would play another 15 years, star in two more World Series (1967–68), and set the career stolen base record (938, since broken by Rickey Henderson). Broglio compiled a record of seven wins and 19 defeats for the Cubs.
His final record in the majors: 77 wins, 74 defeats, with an earned run average of 3.74. The term “Brock for Broglio” is still in use in the sports world to signify a lopsided player trade.

Got these signed at the Charlotte vs. Columbus MILB game on Thursday:

Laporta being cool? Bauer has always been awesome.. nice kid..

Laporta has been very friendly...Bauer is tougher to get, and most of the Columbus "graphing" crew has been shut out by him this year , but I get him almost every game!

That's great! Im about to try to get him in a 500/50 with someone else. If that doesn't work, can I 50/50 or consign with you.

7/12 Toledo vs. Columbus:

Castellanos was probably the easiest top prospect I've gotten this year

7/13/13 Altoona vs. Akron:

Taillon got rocked, but he still signed after the game...unfortunately Polanco was in NYC for the Future's Game.

Wish I would've known about this thread while season was going on cause I'd really like to get Gaby Sanchez & Andrew McCutcheon. Is there any chance you'd trade or sell one the McCutch's?

RedsFest was a waste of my time, spent all day there plus 5 hours of driving for 5 autographs...

PirateFest was awesome, except that Cutch had to cancel at the last second due to a death in his fiancé's family.

Starling is the man, he totally made my day!

My wife also had fun:

I also bought a 1990 game used BP jersey from an unknown player, perhaps from spring training? Anyways, I thought it was cool, I love the old school patch on the left arm!

A few recent TTM's:
