Really :? ...I would love to hear your reasoning behind this...seriously you carry a gun to CHURCH

Some people wear nicer clothes on Sunday for church, others break out their nicer gun on Sunday for church.

I'm glad he'll live. If he ever plays baseball again, good. I'd give anything for one day w/ my dad. If we had nothing and he were still alive, I'd gladly give up everything.

It was very bad he got hurt like that and in front of his kids. My first thought was, what a moron! 1.7m down the drain. Think before you do. I don't think he has that type of RISK assessment in his brain. I am the same hight as he is. 6'2" I weigh 180 he is at 240. I would have to strap on 60 lbs and get on the damn thing. That would be ugly.
My 2nd thought is,what a MORON. Play ball with your kids.after all it is what you do .

He was playing with his kids, it was probably something his kid wanted to do. To see people judge him so negatively without knowing anything about situation other than he was being a good Dad is sickening.

You can play with your kids and be a good dad and not risk your livelyhood,or injury to yourself or your kids. There are warnings on these things when you buy them. They are dangerous! People have lost their lives with broken necks on the things. What he did was stupid. Maybe he should have taken them bungee jumping.

I get more kids in the ER from bicycles than from trampolines. Get more kids in the ER from car wrecks than bicycles. Get more kids in the ER from drinking milk in bed (ear infections) than from car wrecks. Milk is obviously very dangerous.

A bunch of you are idiots. The guy got hurt. You don't own the team. It's not your problem. They put warnings on cigarettes and McDonalds coffee too.

If for every kid that had a bike had a trampoline what do you think your ER rooms would look like. It would be worse than car wrecks. Do the numbers. As far as warnings on cigs vs trampolines. Guess it is vary hard to smoke them both.

I was doing some research the other day because of this thread. 22 people have dies in the last 22 years from Trampolines. However, two people die a week from bicycle accidents.

Oh, and read this:

This thread has turned and is now starting to show a glimmer of hope for the Hall of Shame.

Because trampolines are expensive.
Bikes arent.

Cars are expensive and people get hurt in them / due to them all the time.

I live in one of the wealthiest areas of the US. Trampolines have to have several things here to be legal. They have to have a net that surrounds the entire trampoline and fastening to the ground. If you don't like them, don't let your kids or yourself get on them.

Buy 3 kids bikes and helmets. The cost would be a push with a trampoline.

Justin - it doesn't matter what the cost is.

Millions more people have bikes and cars as opposed to trampolines.

Numbers can be skewed any way you want to make your point.

Of course they can. It's not difficult math to figure the ratio of cars or bikes to trampolines.

I've seen a few fx from a trampoline and a person w/ minor paralysis. I've also seen kids on bikes hit by cars or head on collisions from a car and a semi. I'd rather deal w/ the trampoline injuries. The guy was playing with his kid. Good for him. He's insured by Lloyd's of London. He's alive.

You're right Justin, a whole bunch of idiots in this thread.

Did you know that when skydiving, it is safest to dive from 19.5 miles up?

Last year alone, 25 people died while skydiving in the US. The average dive is from less than 3 miles up. Nobody has ever died while diving from 19.5 miles up. And a guy named Joe Kittinger proved it could be done all the way back in 1960! Why do people still jump from the deadly height of 3 miles instead of the safe height of 19.5 miles? I guess they've never read any studies with numbers like your comparison of bike accidents vs trampoline accidents....

Wow, now we're using skydiving, I agree, HOS is a very likely course for this thread.

Justin is talking from practical experience, his workding may have been strong but he's trying to point out how silly it is that Joba should have thought of the dangers of using a trampoline while spending time with his child.

It's stupid that because the guy plays ball that he's not supposed to do anything remotely dangerous. I would imagine that getting on a trampoline once or twice wouldn't have nearly the rate of danger vs riding / driving to work daily.

I'd like to see the list of things that these guys shouldn't do according to so many on here. So it's skydiving below 19.5 miles, trampolining, pick up basketball. What else?
