Hi guys

Recently I have struck a little deal with topps that will allow us to give away some wax on them. Prepare for some wax giveaways on the box break boards of topps products.

We are going to give away new product as we get it in, and have a little bit of fun with it!

Enjoy!

Excellent news!!

Chris, maybe there is a way that hobby frustration can be presented to UD and Topps without beating them up on the message board. We all know that it can be rough on the companies here at times and beating them up if they posted would not be good. Any chance that issues and questions can be taken to someone at FCB and then those issues be presented to UD and Topps in a non-confrontational manner? There would be a point-man here on FCB that could gather and filter collector issues and send them along to the card companies and receive responses from UD and Topps. This would give the card companies a better understanding of collector issues and the collector would have an outlet to give and receive feedback from the companies.

This is just a thought and a way to make FCB an even better experience for everyone.

There is definitely power within FCB. I do think that ideas can be presented to them, but they have to be formal and through an intermediary, either a moderator of Gilmore. Releasing frustrations through posts in a topic will not solve anything

Topps should do a set for the fans by the fans. Use polls on here to assist in developing a card set and checklist that collectors nominate and decide upon. also convince them to run a promo for this in which they can place info in packs of products to come, better than the crap they put in packs now. Using strictly FCB, people would have to register here to vote in the set developement, thus creating more board members.

Its a shame UD already had sets named Collector's Choice.

It was a post on the board that the aflac numbering idea came from. It wasn't anything I or another moderator said. It came from the shoeless joe and other forgers thread.

probably not

you guys tend to be rough on people that do that

No way!!!!!! :D

Just kidding. Im not scared to interact with collectors, nor should they be.

I hope they take the next step in showing appreciation to and concern for their customers.

Of course a single idea can come from a thread, that wasn't my point. My point was that whenever a company executive tries to be here on their own and just post in a thread, it turns into a pissing match that never ends well. My post was solely for the purpose of how the board can directly communicate with members of the big companies

Well done!

Topps doesn't even have control over their OWN message boards.

they don't have the man power to monitor them

They have had to cut employment a couple of times, and that level of support staff probably isn't something they can do right now.

How about a Q&A thread where we send questions to Gilmore and he hosts them in a thread somewhere that only he can post in?

...It would save the whole arguement deal and get answers to people who want them and have good questions, not to mention increase Topps customer visibility.

Just my .02

GREAT suggestion.
Maybe one for each company.
I would like to challenge ALL manufacturers to participate.
