LOL, i've literally only heard of one of them. One of them is on my hometown Astros and I've still never heard of him.

To be fair, he's only been an Astro for a month. He's also 26 years old - but at least he hasn't been busted for smoking weed.

Little disappointed Mason is #10 and no Tyler Austin, on a list with Bubba Starling ranked so high with little results to date.

Starling had a pretty decent season in 2012 despite a high K rate. He has more potential than just about any player in all the Minors. Put the two together and you have someone who certainly belongs on this list IMO.

I stand corrected - looks like Mayo only had the time to do a Top 50 this year, instead of a Top 100.

EDIT - well damn, now he tweeted it's 100 guys. Wish he'd keep his story straight.

Oh, not saying he shouldn't be on the list for the very reasons you state, but as I said "ranked so high". It's early for him obviously, but at what point do you put performance ahead of promise? 3rd year?

Starling sucks, he is another Ryan Harvey with more speed. He won't make the majors IMO.

Care to elaborate? Since I know you haven't seen him play, nor have I, I would love to hear why Starling sucks. And additionally, why does every comment you make have to be polarizing? You can't just say a guy seems raw, needs to improve, or whatever--instead it's "he sucks, he won't make the majors".

Haven't you heard? His friend, who happens to be a scout, told him so.

That's all I need. Why don't you? :)

Actually go ask Mike Newman of Rotoscouting, he ranked him quite low on his outfielders list and he seen him play. My scout guy said he has high upside but will take years, might be 24-25 when he makes his MLB debut.

Who’s next: The outfielders
The final positional list went up on Monday, and it was a doozy. The Top 10 outfielders is jam-packed with talent and the second 10 is probably better than the top 10 at some other positions. As always, you can read the story or go right to the list.

Nos. 11-15 in the outfield department is a very strong list, perhaps with only the RHP 11-15 list coming close to competing. Here it is:

Jorge Soler, Cubs
Brian Goodwin, Nationals
Rymer Liriano, Padres
George Springer, Astros
David Dahl, Rockies

I think the names speak for themselves. The next set of names shows you just how talent-laded the position is. Without giving it all away (you have to check out the Top 100 list tomorrow and all the team lists, after all!), names like Gregory Polanco, Courtney Hawkins and Jake Marisnick are not too far behind.

Looking forward to seeing/hearing/reading everyone’s reaction to the Top 100 tomorrow. Be sure to tune in to MLB Network or MLB.com at 9 p.m. ET. And we’ll be live tweeting during the show, using #mlbpipeline. We’ve got some great prospects lined up to participate: Taijuan Walker, Archie Bradley, Tyler Skaggs, Mike Zunino, Billy Hamilton, Mike Olt and Zack Wheeler (listed in no particular order). So be sure to join us there and interact with some of the game’s top prospects. And if you’re not doing so already, follow @MLBPipeline for all of your prospect info!

At some point tomorrow, I’ll be back with a scorecard of sorts of how all 30 teams fared in regards to placement on the Top 10 by position lists. Does it lead to any conlcusions? Not necessarily, but I always like to add more fodder for debate.

That bad huh. Did Harvey even make it to the majors? Another highly touted Cubs prospect up in flames, maybe from being the 2003 Bowman Draft cover boy.
