O.J. Ignorant comment #1:
Can you tell me the last 3 sales of Jordan PMG red? Buyer and seller?
Credking to private person
Gonblott to Redskinwizards
Redskinwizards to XXXX (waiting to find out if they leave feedback but guess what, they probably wont)

This list right here shows your ignorance. Get your facts proper.
On May 1st, soundandintel (Gonblott) sold his 18/100 Red PMG to a buyer named the_good_sportsman. In fact, your _____ Gio, Sportsitupcards made it a point to note that, in his infamous thread on Freedomcardboard. See the exact quote here. It’s the first post on the page.

On August 23rd, guess who? That’s right, the_good_sportsman created a listing stating that he had plans to auction off his Dennis Rodman Green PMG and his Michael Jordan Red PMG. You’ll never believe the serial number it was…… 18/100. Oh my! Yes, a collector that does not come to any forums actually purchased a card that you and your ‘special’ friends continually doubt.

Now, you ______, this is where it may confuse you. His description read:
I am selling my Rodman and Jordan Precious Metals. The high price is for people to see that they will be for sale. I will most likely list the Rodman next week and the Jordan the following week, if they don’t sell by then. Rodman is numbered 001/100, first one ever printed, holy grail of Rodman cards. Jordan is numbered 018/100. In the meantime, feel free to make an offer and I’ll consider it.

I have highlighted the bold to show emphasis. He stated on August 23rd that he would entertain offers for the card. Some time between the start of the auction, but before the end of the day on August 23rd, he updated the description:

The Jordan is no longer available. – 08/23/11

So, if you’re perceptive enough to understand, he sold the card offline. Card 18/100.

On August 24th? (unsure about the start date, but I know that it ended prior to August 28th) redskinswizard put up a Michael Jordan Red PMG serial number……………yes, you _______…. 18/100.
Here is the auction. Someone, until proven otherwise, hit the Buy It Now for $11,999.99 on August 28th.
UPDATE, SEPTEMBER 2: The card was re-listed so the BIN did not go through. Follow the current auction here.

You, Orangejello727, should know the facts before you start _____ about something and make accusations that are ignorant, if not blatantly inaccurate.

You have to be the biggest numbnut around. You just admitted that gonblott sold the card to good sportsman. Goodsportsman sold the card to redskins. Atleast 2 of them know of one another. Goodsportsman in my opinion is associated with these clowns. Same card switches hands 3 times and each time its for sale on ebay. Sale #1 to switch hands because gonblotts and prostituted that card out so hard on ebay that all the buyers have become aware of the massive chipping on the card. They associate the card with him so there is no chance in hell he can get top dollars. So what does gonblott do? He moves it privately. Good sportsman picks it up privately. He pimps the card and gets an offer from redskins. Private sale. But before the private sale its listed on ebay to show that its switched hands (Creating action/buzz on the card). Then redskins puts it up for sale. He gets a 12k bid but dude doesnt pay. It gets re listed.

Since you are too stupid to follow, this whole set has done nothing but 3 things.
1. PImp the card
2. Move the card around to show its been bought and sold to attract specultors and newbs who are unaware.
3. Post it for sale hoping to get some sucker to fall for it and pay $12k.

Its created an artificial price by being pimped of false sales.
Its created a decent promotion by having 3 guys flip and sell it

To top it all off, the same ****** bags that owned the card are pumping the auction by bidding on it. How pathetic is that?
Gonblott owned the card. HE is bidding on redskins auction. Did he really move the card so that he could bid on it again? LOL only a fool doesnt notice that. Nothing like me moving a card from my collection for top dollar then bidding on it as the person I moved the card to has it up for sale! If thats not pumping an auction, I dont know what is.

LOL.

keep reaching for straws.

Other than speculation:
"Goodsportsman in my opinion is associated with these clowns."

you have absolutely NO proof/evidence that anything reeks of collusion and/or shadiness.

THAT is spreading misinformation.

SMH @you.

IGNORANT.

you are just upset because no one will cam with you after begging.

You keep avoiding the question at hand. WHy is gonblott bidding on dantes jordan pmg? He owned it. Sold it now it bidding on it again? For what intentions? If mean if he really wanted that specific then why did he sell it in the first place? Any reason aside from maybe pumping and dumping the card? IM pretty sure youll give us the same excuses you always do.

Nothing like watching the ONLY pmg red jordan to sell over the 10k mark belong to the same group of people. You dont see anything wrong with that? Of course you wouldnt. You're as blind as a bat as they come.

LAME.

all you do is ask questions. you never provide facts to back up your claims.
i can't speak for another person's intentions. you could ask him yourself. oh wait, no you cant.
if you want me to speculate, well... i could speculate all sorts of reasons - none of which would be able to be confirmed/denied though, since i am not him.

i'll play your question game...
why do you only ask questions? why dont you do your own research? why must you ask everyone else to provide answers for you? are you lazy? incompetent? ignorant?

why don't you do show facts behind your speculations? of course it is easy for anyone to say
"in my opinion..." but all you do is falsely accuse people left and right. why...why why why?

provide answers and be able to back it up! oh wait.. you can't! you can only ask questions and get your buddies to do the same.

on another note...

i think it is a subset card within the base set.

otherwise it might be part of a insert set 1:36, but im not sure how many cards are in the set.

Thanks man. I'm trying to figure out if there are variations of this particular card, or if they're all the same within the subset. That price seems astounding.

That card is a subset card which makes that price astounding/ not believable if it were put up for auction. I think back in the day, Metal base cards "booked" for $5, and subset cards were always half the value of the standard base card, so basically someone just dropped nearly three bills for a very common $2.50 subset card that is a BGS 9.5. I remember pulling duplicates of that card as a kid when they came out.

As for the Jordan prices, they don't surprise me at all. His inserts have always been popular, but the numbered parallels from his playing days are in a league of their own. As the popularity of the 90's stuff in general continues to soar due to the horrendous crap that is being put out now, it's no surprise to see these things continuing to go up. I mean, a lot of inserts from players that weren't all that collectable back then are starting to trend up.

Yeah I don't get it either. I have the same card, graded BGS 9.5 and paid a fraction of that for it. However, I will say that I've stopped trying to make sense out of these Jordan prices some time ago, so who knows.

Another possibility for the increase in price of these is that the kids who collected cards in the 90's when Jordan was around are now today's young professionals with a lot more disposable income.
