No, this is a 2008 BC. Big difference between 2005 and 2008 as compared to an 07 BC non-auto RC and an 08 BC auto released a couple of months later.

why.....the auto is still not first year or rookie.....

Schafer's RC is 2005 BDP. The RC rule can't take that away. To me, this card is an insert released 3 years after a guys actual RC. And as of right now, the card features a guy that was suspended for 50 games for PED's and has never step foot on a ML field. This isn't a monster card.
