I could care less about somebody using marijuana but it requires 20 grams for felony possession in Florida. What was he doing with 20 or more grams on him at midnight at The Cheesecake Factory? It's obvious why he was at The Cheesecake Factory but why holding?

Maybe he met up with his dealer at the Cheesecake Factory? Seems like a pretty good strategy.

And why would that be the most embarrassing part of the story? I love the Cheesecake Factory.

the arrest took place shortly after midnight at The Cheesecake Factory, which some might consider the most embarrassing part of the story for Schafer.

he'll be fine. lincecum got busted last year with some doobage as well. schafer will be just fine.

Lincecum didn't have a previous HGH suspension and wasn't carrying more than 20 grams. That is a TON of weed. Jeez. I wonder if he'll get hit with intent to distribute or any other crimes.

28 Grams is an ounce.... 20 grams is not that much. Anything less than 4 ounces in mosts states is a slap on the wrists and a ticket.

What MLB is going to do is more important than the local police. BUT...the question does come to mind of WHY? carry that much if any at all?? That is a dumb ass move, especially by a professional athlete or celebrity.

20 grams honestly isn't that much, not even an ounce, no way they say it was distribution. It would have been just a small fine in most states but Florida's drug laws are really strict.

I'd like to know why people are against cannabis legalization? Apparently you no nothing of the Endocannabinoid system in our bodies and that cannabis has cannabinoids and these actually help your body rejuvenate, etc. Also why wouldn't you want something legalized that can actually help people with cancer. Did you not know that cannabis as well has anti-tumoroidal effect meaning that it shrinks and can even eradicate them all together. So please Mr. OP tell me why you think it should not be legalized?

Also you have no clue to why he had the cannabis, etc in the first place. Though I'm sure you think he just wants to "high", give me a break. ::facepalm::

20 grams is nothing I'm sure many could smoke that in a week or less.

I think it should be legalized simply bc of the terror that the drug industry brings on people. That would be a huge finacial hit to the cartels and the street dealers.

Oh I agree and it could help this country fix its money issues. Why keep letting the cartels thrive in the first place. Cannabis has the be the number one "drug" exported from them.

I think they should dump his ass in the middle of Ciudad Juarez so that he can see first hand the destruction that his little habit helps fuel. Although, he probably wouldnt survive the day.

It's not his habit that fuels the destruction, it's the BS "war on drugs" that causes the turmoil. If it was legal, those problems would disappear. Victimless, non-violent crimes shouldn't be putting people in prison.

thanked. if it was legal and sold as alcohol is, the money would be going to each state via taxes, it would be much easier to keep from kids, and the drug cartels would lose a majority of their profits.

Yes, but it isnt legal. So as long as it is illegal he is supporting an industry of murder and destruction.
