Beating the Oakland Raiders in the Super Bowl is almost as impressive as winning a fistfight against a quadriplegic

You mean the Raiders who scored like 50 points a game that season? The #1 offense in fooball?
Do you even watch football?

hmm bucs won it all in 02, made the playoffs in 05 and 07, and now are one game from getting into the playoffs
once again, they have also had a top 8 defense 11 of of the last 15 years. I can name at least
20 teams that would take that including the Eagles and Falcons! Now it looks like we have a franchise Qb not
to mention two solid rookie WR's and one rookie RB. I bet there wasn't two guys on here besides me who picked
the bucs for another 3 win season! We are getting it done...don't blame us cause the NFC West sucks.

Kevin
I think the Eagles would be happier winning their division already with their setup than having Freeman and in a must win to go on situation.

You're 100% correct, except for two minor errors.

The Raiders scored 28.125 points a game, not 50. And the #1 offense in the NFL wasn't Oakland, but Kansas City (who ironically finished last in the Raiders' division)

Other than that, your post was pretty solid

So how many divison titles would Philly trade in for one super bowl ring? All of them? In Philly they raise divison title
banners, in Tampa they raise a championship banner.

Are we really using a Tampa Bay SB win as leverage for a 2010 argument? In that case I am officially including stats from the Baltimore Colts era in all of my Pro-Indy arguments. Peyton will get more MVP votes than Freeman.

Peyton Manning sucks, Freeman doesn't throw 8 picks in one game!

True. I was referring more to the present and moving forward. The Eagles have had more success in the past compared to the Buccaneers, barring that one SB win...although there's no doubt every team wants that.

I was actually a "casual" fan of them during the years leading up to and through the Super Bowl because I followed Warren Sapp out of college. At the start of the playoffs, I put his McFarlane figure I had on top of my tv stand and left it there until the day after the SB. I take partial claim for their title, for it was surely this that helped.

Strange, I am responding to myself.

Show me where Peyton threw 8 picks in one game this season and I'll PayPal you $100.

Ive been a bucs fan since 79, their two runs to the NFC Championsip games both went through Philly. You can argue
that the Bucs have been the one team that has killed the Eagles when they had the best chance to get to the
superbowl. Those games in 2002 and 2003 were epic. Like I said, I have been a bucs fan for a very long time and
besides the Brad Johnson year, this is the first time that I have felt that we can score on every drive. If Freeman
and this offense had even half the greatness of our defenses under Kiffen, then we would have more rings. Of course
the bucs would have to win it all for Freeman to get his due, while crappier QB's like Flacco and Sanchez get more
talk because they play in bigger markets. We are basically playing our second team defense now because of injuries, but
Freeman is still leading this team. We are beating the teams we are supposed to. You can't blame any of the bucs
losses on Freeman, the guy has been nails!

Why are you a Bucs who hates the Eagles, but also a Phillies fan?

When I was kid in 1980 I decided to root for all the teams that did well. So I told myself, the Phillies
won the WS, they MUST be great.......I waited a while for that. Bucs made it to the championship
game that year so that was my pick. I can't stand the Eagles.

Loving all the people who determine win/loss records solely on QB performance. Last time I checked the Bucs had an o-line, a defense, and some people who come out on kicks called special teams. I think they might have a factor in determining who wins and loses games, but I may be crazy.

This is the only guy in the thread who isn't seemingly drunk. How anyone can think of voting for anyone not named Tom Brady right now is insane. How there can be a thread about the MVP with Brady only being mentioned once is beyond me. Drunk. All of you.

Tom Brady.
31-4 TD/Int. Record 319 passes without a pick (and counting), 8 games with 2 TD, 0 INT (and counting).
13-2 record.

Here come the HILARIOUS comments about his hair, and probably something about his coach cheating several years ago Yawn....

(By the way, I'm in the Freeman-over-Vick camp, but not over Brady)

Freeman played a beatup Seattle team today.. They have been hurt all year and have players from their practice squad starting.. If you are looking at Freeman's stats because of what he did today.. then you are really reaching for something that isn't there..

He has a good future, but right now, Brady has been the most dominant QB so far..

The bucs started in 1976, they won their first ring 26 years later. The Steelers went from 79-2005 without a ring! Why
don't you want until the bucs have been around forever before you start making those comparisions!

and as far as MVP talk, my beef wasn't with Brady, it was with Vick, if you have Vick in the converstation you must
have Freeman in their too.

Why not?

1) Tom Brady. 2) Michael Vick.

Freeman is a great young QB playing with a great young team, and I give him props. But, Vick put up impressive numbers and didn't even play the whole season.

Regardless, Brady will (and should) win.
