The Braves clearly got the best of that deal as his annual salary would be less than a 4th or 5th starter and for 6 years.....unbelievable deal!

Well, it'll be close. You have to remember they're buying out 5-6 years of arbitration, NOT free agent pricing. But still a wise deal and likely worth it considering salary escalation.
