Starting out July with a couple Fred Lynn Donruss Team Heroes. One is the Chicago show /5 and the auto is /50

Then a /10 gold parallel from same set, following year of Brett Myers. It was a good set, wish they would have continued it.

Oooh. I'm still missing the auto from that set, and the show stamped one. Nice pickups.

Nothing yet for me in July. But one, perhaps two, are coming in soon. One is a medium, but the other is a large addition. Hope to get them both!

I was probably nopt going to finish this small set, but the Yamaguci fell into my lap for under $10. Now I just need Kyle Busch. Cheapest I have seen so far is $30. Don't collect racing and I don't want to pay anywhere near that. Anyone dialed into racking and know if he is a tough sig or a good buy in that range? He's be the 2nd most expensive card in the set (behind Aaron) if I have to pay $30 to get one. Found Aikman and David Robinson at bargain prices luckily!

Also added this Black Jack, but I probably already have it. He is super active on Facebook these days, pushing his signed CDs (and accommodating TTM requests, probably in hopes of selling more CDs).

You don't seem to mess around when the good stuff shows up.
Some of these items are hard to find in general.

- I have a rule when it comes to card shows, always bring some good cards (or your best cards if necessary) with you because you never know what you will find and you may get a great opportunity to make a trade for a rare card.

-I have found some of my best PC cards in the smallest of shows that you would never expect to find a card.

-Having friends in the hobby helps as well, it is important to network and get to know people.

I remember seeing this beauty of a show case as an example below at a show (I couldn't believe it!)

Well said, I go to the same small show once a month. The relationships make all the difference. I've seen some big cards pass through there. I may find a big PC card a few times a year, but most months I find myself buying lower end cards to fill different projects to keep the hunt alive and the relationships alive for when these opportunities arise. Crazy showcase, not quite at that level here!

2014 Panini Golden Age - 1913 The National Game #5 Josh Gibson -- Discovered this insert set just recently as I had generally been dismissive towards Panini Baseball products. Josh Gibson has been in newer Topps flagship and A&G releases, but his uniform has unfortunately been airbrushed. Whereas, to my surprise, his older Panini cards actually feature team logo and names. Even cooler is that this insert is a throwback to the 1913 The National Game WG5 set. Didn't know about the vintage set either until I came across this. I absolutely love the flair and typography on the reverse to contrast the simple front. Such a fun find and $2 purchase with free shipping. The COMC post is not my card just a stock example, here is my copy....https://www.ebay.com/itm/326666541098

Another Lynn. Not trying to corner the Lynn autograph market, just coincidental that 2 sets i really like pooped up around the same time and were decent bargains. I have a special spot for 83 Donruss too. The best design of the cards that I could find at the time in the 80s (I was shutout of 84D). This recollections is /42.

In this week's arrivals I will introduce to you the "tower of power". I had multiple cards come in so I might as well have fun with it. I wanted a Goldy in the Yankee uniform and finally got it.(FYI - Some guy was trying to charge me 10k for the auto version of the Jeter. Instead, I opted for the $6 mojo option and enjoying it the same.)
