Billingsley also won his 9th. Now 9-3. 7 innings, 2 ER.
BJ Upton stole 2 bases for the third consecutive day.
Jered Weaver-complete game 5 hit shutout. Now 7-2 2.08 ERA.
Mauer with a ho-hum 3-5. Batting average at .414.

Trevor Hoffman finally blew a save. In a game that the Brewers were trying not to get swept in and taking a tie into the 9th, I don't know what the **** he was doing out there, but I guess Macha knows more than I do...

Blew the game, but that isn't a blown save. As for why he was in, most managers use their closer in a tie game at home, since there can't be a save situation if it's tied. Seems to fail more often than not.

And i know closers get used in the 9th at home like that, but I've never seen it pay off either.

I am sure Macha didn't care about the streak that Hoffman had with scoreless innings. It was a tie game and why not toss our best guy out there to hold them, unfortunately it didn't work that way, but I do agree with Macha to put him out there.

I was at that game, got some pics just of his back, but they are pretty good pics. Cain was just dealing though and got some pretty good help from the offense Sandoval home-run and then Nate hits an amazing inside the park home-run with no errors on the play!

I was at that game, got some pics just of his back, but they are pretty good pics. Cain was just dealing though and got some pretty good help from the offense Sandoval home-run and then Nate hits an amazing inside the park home-run with no errors on the play!

I was there too. Awesome game! I was in CL216 and drank about 8 Guinness.

Callaspo's is a huge surprise this year. Look what he's done in the last week...batted .580 w/ 2HR's 3B and 8RBI's and a grandslam in the last 7 games. He's also got a 8 game hitting streak and has had atleast 2 hits in 6 of those games.
