2002 Topps Chrome Black Refractor #537 Luis Sojo /50 -- Great quote by Cashman on the back of this card, describes Sojo well. He was a supporting player on all four World Series teams. Has only 50 Yankee releases from his playing years and just a handful of numbered ones. This is arguably his one of his nicest cards. Plus semi-jersey numbered. Although #19 on the photo, he wore number 14 during the 2000 season. Small pick up, but one I am excited about.

Another pile of stuff:

First my favorites. McGwire's 1997 Donruss Preferred Gold Cut to the Chase card is not seen often...I finally spotted one and grabbed it quick to complete my team set. 1998 Leaf Rookies and Stars Longevity 40/50 Giambi gets my team set needs down to 3 - 2 commons and Rickey. And the 2010 Bowman Chrome USA Gold Refractor 20/50 Sonny Gray isn't an A's card but I wanted it to finish off his run of 7 Bowman Chrome Gold Refractors before he was traded off.

2013 Topps Update Black Pat Neshek 60/62 completes the team set of Series 1 & 2 & Update from that year and shrinks my A's needs for the first dozen years of Topps Black 2003-2014 down to a single card, the Josh Donaldson RC out of 2010 Update. I'm missing 3 more of them from the '10s, two cheap ones and the not cheap Matt Olson RC from 2017. The 2021 Matt Chapman gets my Black needs for that year down to 5 cards.

Some "older" stuff. Finally picked up a McGwire/Konerko/Palmeiro/Helton 1997 Bowman's Best Mirror Image Atomic. Overpaid ($30) for the 2002 Season Stat Line Zito 15/17, but it's rare nowadays that I can fill any of my 2001-2005 Stat Line needs. Then there's a couple of Pacific Platinum Blues, a 2005 Flair Row 1 Nick Swisher 040/100 (tough to track down for whatever reason), and a 1999 Invincible Thunder Alley Ben Grieve which was also tough to find for a decent price. It's not even good looking like you'd expect a '90s Pacific insert to be, no cool foil or die cuts, but they were 1 in 121 packs for a 20-card set so they maintain some value.

Some team set completers...2022 Heritage Chrome Refractors, 1978 Hostess, 2021 A&G Mini Black, and 1986 Topps Stickers (trying to clean up some oddball needs I never chased after this year).

061124-5.jpg
Some recent refractors. Only need 2 more to finish up my A's needs from 2023 Topps '88 Chrome Purples/75 and I already have the more expensive guys: Henderson, Canseco, McGwire, and the Mason Miller rookie-year card.

Some more 2023 '88s, getting my Black Auto set needs down to 3. The Tony Kemp is the Advanced Stats/300 variation, thank you to @Philip J. Fry !
