Slowly trying to add new certified FB and BKB autos I don't have. Even the rare HKY auto every once in a while. I focused so much of my collecting energy on BB before that I missed a lot of good stuff across other sports.

Lofton, Pruitt and the ever elusive Skybox Favre Excgange card, side B. A side is much easier to find and was from the base product. B came out of the premium product that year. If you collected both sides, you could redeem it for the lenticular MVP card, which is a very cool looking card (I must have 8-10 of them), but extremely easy to find now. Clearly a lot were redeemed, leaving the unredeemed cards a little harder to locate.

Dalbec, a cheap 582 Montgomery addition. Will pick up these when the prices are right.


Never seem to get enough of these AP autos when the price is right! Bill Sharman, who played several years for the Brooklyn Dodgers minor league system while also playing in the NBA. He was called up by the Dodgers, but he never appeared in a game for them at the big league level. I guess he did OK with his "other" career.

Mel Blount wraps up the goods for today.

EDIT: I didn't get Sharman today actually. I didn't pay close enough attention and it was actually Dolph Schayes instead. I was expecting both and both were running late, not surprising for the standard ebay trading card method. After sharing the Sharman story though, I will leave it there and just add Schayes. Hopefully Sharman arrives soon!

The mailman delivered today! Karl Malone was at one time my favorite active basketball player to collect.

Next is a D. Carr that the USPS absolutely tried to destroy. The card has some light surface creasing across the front. Disappointed, but not sure I want to toss it back either. We'll see how the seller responds. I had to hound them to ship it ground advantage too, the listing has standard trading card shipping despite topping $20.

I need the Maravich to complete this set of Flip Books.


Tim Salmon. One of the better modern players, maybe the best, who has no all-star games to his name in a 10+ season career (HOF eligible). Former ROY, Silver Slugger and 299 lifetime HRs and never made the AL AS squad in his 14 year career.


Elgin Baylor on yet another cool retro-ish Old School design. Panini did well with the design of this series over the years.

Have not added one of these for a while. Signed 1956 Topps baseball, the best set design ever!

I was once making a half-hearted attempt at as many different as possible. A full set was always out of the question with names like campy, Robinson, Mantle, Clemente, etc. I need to check, but was fairly certain I didn't have this one though. I might after all. I'll see when I file it with the rest.


Couldn't pass this up, a lot of 42 baseball Sportscasters. Got it even cheaper than I was expecting, which is rare these days and much appreciated.
