Just got a great phone call!!!

well my son is 6 and he has been doing great this season he made AllStars and has been working non stop on his fielding and his batting. He loves baseball and he told me before the season started he was going to make the traveling Allstar team. Well we just got a phone call from the coach of the traveling Allstar team and my son Neo was picked for the team!!! He is so happy it is unreal. We have no idea how we are going to afford how to get him to all the tournaments so I will probably not collect anymore until October when the Travel League is over.

For those who do not know what a Travel Allstar team is it is the best kids out of our area and all summer they go an compete against kids from allover California. I think something like 50-60 kids put their names in for this team and they only selected 12 so it is a BIG deal. I am so happy for him I do not know what to do with myself. I just wanted to share with you guys since I thought the people here might appreciate this.

My brother's girlfriend's little boy plays travel ball. They are going to Disney World later this summer for a huge tourney. Congrats to your boy and good luck to him!

Thanks everyone! When he told me he was going to make the Travel team this year I honestly did not think he would be able to because the kids returning to it from last year are so good but he worked really hard. It is nice to see when he puts his mind to something he can do it.

we will see how much this is going to cost us to make the Tournaments. I am supposed to get a raise at work in July I might ask them if I can get it sooner to help out with all of this stuff. I work for the Government so it might be possible to get my raise sooner.

awesome...some of my favorite memories of baseball came from the traveling team i was on, hanging out with the fellow teamates between games, having cookouts, goofing off than playing some ball

CONGRATS !!! My son has made the ALL-STAR team the last 3 years...crossing our fingers this year cause at the level he is at (MUSTANG NATIONAL only 8 teams vs last year MUSTANG AMERICAN 26 teams ) the last 2 years the team has made it all the way to the world series...some odd reason this year the coach who selected him has put him as catcher all year ? funning thing is he is gunning the runners down like crazy...lol...and playoffs start next week so we shall see...
