Just negotiated my way into a sweet Chirstmas gift...

I am on a very strict card budget--I allow myself to spend about $40 per month on hobby-related purchases (cards, supplies, OMLBs, etc.). Well, since I found out that you can send items to Cal Ripken Jr. through his Ironclad Authentics company, I have wanted to send him a RC to get signed for my collection, but it's $130 plus shipping and insurance. Well, long story short, I got my wife to give me my Christmas gift early and send off a RC to Ripken's next signing (Dec. 1). I'll be busting the Topps Traded RC out of its case and sending it in soon. Can't wait to add this one to my collection--I may also get it slabbed by PSA/DNA sometime:

Thanks. I am leaning toward PSA/DNA since I took part in the September special so I already have about 20 other RCs slabbed by them. I'm not opposed to JSA/Beckett, though. Maybe I'll buy a JSA/Beckett authenticated RC of someone to see how I like it in person before deciding which to send it to. I like the look of the slabbed autos.

I know the Topps Traded is Cal's most sought after RC but I have always preferred an auto on an RC that does not feature a facsimile signature as well. Most of the time I have to deal with it since I get a lot of my autos from young players on their Bowman RC's since they don't have any options to choose from without the facsimile auto. This is just my $.02
