Just Read that Mir wants to fight the Spider.

I just read it on Yahoo.Don't really know if it's possible,but i think it would be a decent fight.I believe Mir could make this interesting if he got it to the ground.He is stronger and could overpower Silva in my opinion,i just can't see Mir surviving if Silva lands some of those righthands.

Mir loses this fight because:

a) Every fight starts standing which means he starts the fight at a DISTINCT disadvantage

b) His takedowns are not good. I have only ever seen him takedown Antoni Hardonk. Yep!

c) his top game is terrible. couldnt submit or TKO Wes Sims even though he had him mounted for about 3 minutes. Further more, outside of teh Hardonk fight, every sub hes pulled off has been from his back. Even then, he leaves himself vulnerable to G&P as evidenced by Cruz, Lesnar, and goign way back to 2001 when Ian Freeman beat the snot out of hiM!

d) his cardio is $hit

So basically he would have to pull guard and HOPE he catches Silva in an armbar quickly, which I doubt would happen!
