Hey guys,

I didn't send cards back in because they wouldn't grade out a gem mint 9.5 . Even the cards he sent back which included multiples of Metal Base Casey Kelly, Ryan Westmoreland, and my Gold Wallace were not "gem mint". They still have some surface issues but my intentions was never to get these graded. I simply wanted clean copies as I'm very OCD about my cards. You should see how I keep all my cards. Each and every top loader is sealed in its own team bag otherwise all I can think about are new scratches on my new top loaders. I know...I'm weird.

The awesome thing about this thread is Razor can't win one way or the other. If they didnt replace it, they suck and now that they replace it, the conspiracy theories will run wild.

hmmmmm

The only problem that I see, is the lack of doing the same thing in each case. Either no replacements or replacements. Not as they see fit. I purchase Razor and quite a bit of it as well. I just think a company should stick to one way of handling damaged cards. That is just me. I'm not bashing or anything like that.

Did you stop to think maybe they viable replacements for some and not others?

Did the Gold Wallace sell out? Did the Blue Beckham & Smoak sell out? Yes! So there "shouldn't" be replacements for either. Yes, my problem is they should be more uniform. Why have replacements for some and not others?? That is a very valid question and you can't dispute that.

I love the fact that they aren't all perfect 9.5's that are handed out. It makes it interesting for everyone. How much fun would it be if every card that was sent out was a 9.5? Yes, everyone complains when the get a surface defect or a card that is OC, but I like the fact the cards should have a premium on them in they grade out well.[/quote:mz8lohi5]

They may have also ran out of replacements before you asked. Topps runs out of replacements all the time especially in 2006 chrome due to so many roller marks.

I think most of you guys are not strong enough to deal online and purchase cards. When you do this you assume a risk and you are crying everytime a little problem shows up.

If you can't handle buying cards, especialy conditions sensitive cards like those, just leave them for the others.

Here is what the auctions should stated listening to all of you Razor bashers specialists :
------------------------------------------------------------
This auction is for a "Justin Smoak" autographed PSA10 garanteed card. The print run is 10. If someone can count 11 we will kill ourselves on the public place. If a card doesn't grade 10, we will offer a 500% refund + a personalized excuses letter.

If you damaged the card by yourselfe by mistake please sent it in, we will refund you auto without questions.

We also garantee you a 800% ROI if you want to resell the cards within 1 week.

Please let us know how much you would like to pay for it. Your price is ours, despite the cost of our contract with the player and cost of the card itself.

If by any chance we do something that can affect the future value of the card, or if you think we did, no need to proove it, we will refund and apoligized.

Also if you want our house for the weekends just stop by and throw us outside it will be a pleasure.

Isn't it possible that there was a NPB on one of the Wallaces?

That's definitely a possibility.

I got a good chuckle from the post before that one, though, and I don't think any of us who were upset with some of our Razor Metal cards expected each card to grade at a BGS 9.5 or 10. Not every card that we buy in this format should be gem mint, but I did expect the average card to be in 'mint condition' (although, after the blue auctions were completed, Brian did add the NMMT caveat to future listings). When I sent the 5 blues back to Brian, I would have sworn that none of them would grade higher than 8.0... after seeing the BGS grades on a few, I may have been wrong and am pretty surprised at the high grades for the cards I've seen. From what I've seen, BGS is being pretty lenient with regard to both surface and centering. As long as it's consistent across all Razor cards, so be it.

IMO, if you list "new" single cards and you do not post individual pictures of the cards, the quality bar should be set pretty high - especially when you're new to baseball, like Razor. To Brian's credit, he has not only kept an open dialogue line with someone like me, who has no connections or purchasing power whatsoever, he refunded my payment for the cards I felt were poor.

I'm rooting for Razor for a couple of reasons - they have exclusives on some pretty strong prospects; and competition (in a marketplace that is void of internal threats) is a good thing. I just hope the QA issues and the integrity questions (art, jerseys, UD, etc.) get cleared up soon.

Off my soapbox... back to work.

No!

There are no alternate explanations!!

If it isnt shady, it isnt true.

Agreed. I hope I didn't come off as someone who assumed everything they did was shady. I actually tried to get the topic over with before the razor critics came, lol. Didn't work.
