Just goes to show, to can have all the fame, and money, but you still put your pants on same way we do, and deal with the same problems we do.......What a tragedy. My prayers go out to all those affected.

Should be a lesson to all of us.....Money and fame doesn't matter, if your hurt inside.

I don't think this guy was particularly rich or famous. In any case, fame probably sucks, and money just makes life a tad bit easier and a little more fun. Bad thing about money though is when you have it, everyone wants a piece and people do everything they can to screw you over.

Sportscenter had clips of various players talking and tearing up about him and how "it wasnt the same" and they had hung his jersey up over his locker.

I guess they forgot the part where he murdered his girlfriend and ruined their young daughters' life.

If you want to kill yourself, go ahead, but why take out someone innocent with you.

I think it was great the team had a moment of silence for the victims of domestic abuse and did not honor him.

Not great that there needs to be a moment of silence for that but that they did not parade it around like he was a victim.

The players are going to have their feelings and that's fine. I dot think any of them are saying he was ok to kill her..

Couple notes:

Turns out Jamal Charles' Wife is the cousin of Belcher's G/F.

Also, a Browns employee killed himself at the Practice facility in much the same way yesterday...

This is sickening. Yeah, let's memorialize a murderer who committed the most horrible crime one can commit against a person and then commits the most unforgivable sin by killing himself. Not to mention he decides to do it in front of people who are now going to be scarred for life.

This whole situation pisses me off, and then Bob Costas needs to get on his soapbox with a gun control rant on national TV. Total crap, if Belcher didn’t have a gun he and his girlfriend wouldn’t be alive Bob. His girlfriend would have been stabbed, choked or beaten to death, and Belcher would have been found hanging in his garage.

Sorry, but I can’t stand celebrities, athletes, or announcers who try to use their fame to influence a personal or political agenda.

Agreed. How can the players not feel bad about losing a teammate? You can feel sad that someone you were friends with did something so bad. Feeling sad doesn't mean you condone the behavior.
