Keep an eye out for these cards (I may have been scammed)

Hey, guys. I'm involved in an eBay deal that could wind up with me being scammed out of cards and/or money. In a nut shell I sold a large lot of insert cards last week to a guy in Delaware for about $500. He received the cards yesterday but says some of the ones that were pictured in the auction were missing. I suspect there is some buyer's remorse here. Anyway, the key ones he claims are missing are these two:

2005 Bowman Chrome press plate Alfonso Soriano (Cyan; plate shows front of card, reversed image)
2007 Bowman Red Jon Lieber 1/1

I am positive I sent these cards; buyer says he and a "close friend" went through the boxes and assures me they are not there.

If seen anywhere, please alert me.

Thanks,
Ben

What else was in the lot?

I find it weird that they chose those 3 cards as missing.

Well, he says that a significant number of cards displayed in the pictures are missing. And I know it's BS because everything was packed into the boxes. He says the Schilling plate arrived, but neither the Lieber or Soriano (see above)did. I sent the cards in two Large Flat Rate shipping boxes (38 pounds of cards) and used DC and Insurance. He said boxes are not tampered with but are missing items pictured. I suspect it's buyer's remorse and is going to make a claim via paypal and/or ebay that the items were not as described.

As for what was in the lot, I can link to the lot, but not looking to spam the boards with my auction stuff.

I'm selling off the majority of my collection (as documented on my blog) and in this case sold a lot of 1,000+ (actually about 1,400 cards) inserts, parallels, SPs, 1/1, autos and game used.

i sold a big lot of auto's an jerseys last year to a guy an he said the same thing that not all the cards i had listed where there. I know i packed everything.

i think he just wants you to give him some money off. Because if you dont he will just open up a claim on paypal an win the case. It sucks

You must use SIGNATURE CONFIRMATION on items sold for $250+

Grrr ... I shipped in two separate FRB and got two separate $250 insurance claims. Whose policy is the sig confirmation?

A quick update ... myself and the buyer have mutually agreed upon a partial refund with a stipulation that when those cards turn up we honor the original deal. That said, I truly believe these cards are going to surface somewhere soon. He is not aware I have sent out alerts everywhere seeking those cards.

Well, I'm assuming he is not a member here or anywhere else otherwise we probably wouldn't have made our agreement.

Anyhow, if you spot the either the Lieber or the Soriano anywhere -- ebay, your local shop or show, Beckett, etc., contact me. I also have a sneaking suspicion this guy has another eBay account so I have a saved search set up for at least one other card in the lot that I remember the serial number on. If I am being ****** around, then I am going to make it really tough for this guy to move those 1/1s. Eventhough they are not really valuable per se, I am the one who is being swindled out of money here and I am not going to stand for this.
