Boyer was my Dad's favorite player and his lone Boyer card that he kept in a box on his Night Stand was the 1st baseball card I ever laid my eyes on. This is a mixture of his collection and mine (I have a lot of Vintage (low grade) and base cards that I didn't scan)....

The 1st baseball card I ever looked at:

(2) 1955 Topps RC's - I'm going to buy a very high grade and a PSA/DNA one day:

I hope to add a lot more high grade Vintage when I can allow myself to do it correctly.

THANKS FOR LOOKING!

Awesome collection, Adam! Are you eventually going after a complete vintage card run?

GL finding his RC PSA/DNA....I checked a few vintage card autograph sites I frequent and did not see one for sale. Did see an auto'ed 1969 Topps, but I'm not sure if you collect him in a non-Cardinals uni..

I'm going collect his entire Vintage card run in a Carinals uniform. I haven't decided on a grade yet but I'm also not ready to start.

I've only seen 1 '55 PSA DNA but the autograph was horrible, I'm hoping to get lucky one day and find a descent autograph.

I also owned one of his few cut autographs about a year ago, but something about the tail on the "y" REALLY bothered me so I sold it.

Great stuff. Is the ball a team ball signed in red?

It is either a ball that was taken to a Cardinals event or a ball that a guy got signed everytime he went somewhere. There are 16 autographs and I can make out Keith Hernandez and Bob Forsch.

Nice collection of a fairly under-rated/forgotten former star.

Thank you! I really wish he wasn't under-rated/forgotten. I also wish I had more to collect.

PSA all the way for the Vintage project. 7 is what I was thinking. But, I may go as high as the $$$ will allow on the '55.

May also grab a BGS '55 to go along with the PSA.

Thanks for the input buddy!

BVG's are amazing pickups imho. For some unknown reason, eBay has a HORRIBLE stigma when it comes to BVG Slabs
and what they end for in auction. What do i mean by that? lets say there are two of the same card ending at the same time...one's a PSA 7 and ones a BVG 7. The PSA will sell for at least 10 to 15% more than the bvg. I know that there is
a huge boner for the PSA Registry, but damn i like bidding on the bvgs. That being said, the main "issue" with bvg on ebay is that they just dont come around all that often.

I collect Yaz base cards in BVG/BGS only. It makes finding them pretty difficult, if you care to see them,
here they are:

i have a few differnet flips that theyve made through the years pictured as well.

I've noticed this with the BVG's, I'm going to check out your Yaz's as soon as my 10 month old allows :D
