That's Fantastic!

Imagine how it must have felt to win the Gold and then go on to win FOUR Cups in a row!

Yeah thats awesome and i always think its awesome that Duane Sutter got drafted and won 4 straight Cups his first 4 years in the league and went to the finals in his 5th year. Same with Brent Sutter, won 2 or 3 straight Cups and then another Stanley Cup finals appearance.

1980's Hockey was the BEST EVER!!!!

its also says in the article "The sale was a landmark in that it was the first player jersey from the "Miracle on Ice" victory over the Soviet Union to be sold. " which i thought was interesting

I'm partial to it as well!

However, I truly enjoy the game today more than ever. So many solid teams to watch. And NBC is doing a great job with their broadcasts this year IMHO.

I was surprised the jersey sold for this much money. They had a 1976 Canada Cup Orr jersey in the last auction that "only" sold for $90,000 I think with the juice. At best Morrow would only be the third most desired jersey from the 1980 Olympics after Jim Craig and Mike Eurozione.
