Greene should have a big year if he can stay healthy hitting inbetween Pujols/Ludwick. He has big time power for a SS, but injuries and lack of plate discipline have always been a concern.

Greene should have a big year if he can stay healthy hitting inbetween Pujols/Ludwick. He has big time power for a SS, but injuries and lack of plate discipline have always been a concern.

As a huge Greene fan, it was the plate discipline that frustrated me the past three seasons. It was great to see he had only had a handful of strikeouts all Spring Training (3? 5?, some nice, low number). I hope he carries that discipline into the regular season (and beyond).

Hitting inbetween Pujols/Ludwick, Greene is going to see a lot of pitches to hit. I think he is primed for a career year (if he stays healthy). I wish I still had my gold ref auto.
