Yes, the cards are different. I can understand how someone outside the hobby can look at the cards and say they're the same though. I've gotten plenty of looks and comments from my friends and family when I try to show them some of my collection and note to them the same variation/parallels. I think some of them think I've truely went off the deep end! haha

Have at you noob! I want fights!

Just kidding.

What I don't understand about the original post is the OP has numerous parallels displayed on his McFarlanes. His kids must really be confused just looking around their own home. Plus I don't know how he keeps all those safely on the stair bannister with young kids around - I'd expect every single one of them knocked off unless they are nailed down.

Sounds to me, like he doesn't like the parallels and used a made up story about his kids to voice his disapproval.

I don't like the idea of the different tiers if it's an auto, but don't mind the relics. I could see the first of each tier being an auto, kind of like Elite Throwback Threads was in 02 and 03. I do feel that the lower numbers should have patches or something other than colored borders to distinguish from the others.

Well, honestly I think maybe his kids did say something and he simply paraphrased it in his own words. Which is why it didn't sound like a 10 or 12 year old would have. And he certainly has a right to be a bit grouchy about the parallel madness as we can all agree it's gotten way out of control. I do appreciate different foil parallels but these days the amount of foil where the color difference shows is so small that it kinda looks like a half assed try at creating a card that might not have needed to exist. I like different colors like the starquest( red, green, blue, gold) where a nice chunk of color difference can be seen.
