I really only bought the box because Andruw was on the cover. It was cheap break at $17 and overall I think I did alright. If you need any of these or any base from 98 score let me know.

Score released a lot of 98 product after they went out of business and it started turning up on KMart shelves for next to nothing in 1999. That's why still to this day, if you go to KMart and they have those mixed pack boxes, there will be some 98 score in it.

I know the KMart around me had 98 Score hockey for $6 a box, and the pulls were at least double what the insert ratios said they should be. I paid a semester's tuition by selling off the Epix Emerald Moments to collectors (print run was supposed to be either 50 or 30, wasn't it?). I bought cases and cases and cases of the stuff. In 2007, my folks filled the bed of an f-150 with my cards, and I must have had a couple hundred thousand 98 Score commons, RCs and stars that I took straight out to the road. Funny, no matter what time of day or night I hauled a bin of cards to the road, some schmuck would pick them up within half an hour. Somewhere in South Carolina, there's a hoarder about to be crushed by an avalanche of worthless 98 Score commons.

But man, that was back when inserts were inserts. 98 Score, Donruss and Pinnacle are some of my all-time favs and while I'm more of a hockey guy than a baseball guy, it was really cool to see the stuff that you pulled.
